Ash Before Oak are possibly Manchester's best kept secret. The pop rock quartet are set to release their single, DO IT, on Friday 30th October. It's a song which features on their forthcoming debut album Favourite Chickens. 

The band will also be playing a special show at The Deaf Institute, Manchester on October 10th to mark the occasion: a perfectly quirky and theatrical venue for a group who like to do things their own way.

DO IT features their signature harmony-driven vocal sound, ambient guitars and organic drumming.  The song  hits home with its starkly honest lyrics and a chorus which is perversely both uplifting and melancholy. 

Ash Before Oak consists of Peter Griffin (vocals & guitar), Mark Armor (vocals & bass), Richard Butler-Lee (drums) and Faberk O'Shea, the band's mysterious pierrot clown(guitar). With over ten years of song writing experience together, Armor and Griffin have a portfolio bursting with pop songs.  Their music, always high on melody and harmony, has found places on national radio, television and independent film.
