Right now the NFT markets are cannibalizing each other right now due to the lack of outside money coming in. You don't see too many Tezos people doing that but this is actually very common when you go on other chains - yes, they are just that petty.

But all of this is symptomatic of the industry itself not having a real business model that is bringing in real money. 100% of platforms are living off of VC and grant money, but people often confuse fundraising success with business success, which is not the same thing.  It's basically the big fish in the small pond (the rich kid living off their parents' money) bullying the smaller fish that's there. 

There's no need to take it seriously, really.
