As the summer is here; it is the perfect timing to be able to introduce the next upcoming release for my label 'Ashanti Selah Music' and with it being a special collaborative one - we are certainly not holding back on the versions on this one at all!

Presenting the first link-up of the next generation, it brings great pleasure to introduce to you all a good friend of mine who goes by the name of 'Mali Blakamix', and to many of you who may not know, he is the son of the great Dennis Mixman outta Blakamix International, which leads to no surprise of this release having its own stamp of originality and a heavy inspired use of studio effects being pushed to the limit creating a higher-level multitude world of DUB!

The second release from the Ashanti Selah label featuring another track from the forthcoming album with Dan I Locks on a unique 12" style format release. The track featured in the sound clips comes across as a classic 'roots dance' riddim track, of which you'd most commonly hear through the Rastafari-influenced sound systems throughout the UK/Europe; like Aba Shanti-I, who can be seen running this tune as a pre-release at the University of Dub back in May 2017: https://youtu.be/7bArqQI7RCc.

The lyrics are provided by Swedish reggae artist, Dan I Locks, who is not a stranger to the producer Ashanti Selah, in which you can find a fair amount of titles of this combination. However, this song contains lyrics from another angle of which Rasta's take inspiration from, who is the prophet Marcus Garvey, in the respect of one knowing where they are coming from, which is from Garvey's very famous quote 'a tree without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots...'

Introducing the next in-line release from the Forward Bound series with another production - featuring the artist Ras Teo  alongside Ashanti Selah. This one manages to encapsulate the vibes of yet an all-time Abyssinians favourite which makes reference to a very iconic narrative of 'Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego' and their mystical journey through the fiery furnace.

The production comes complete on a 7" Vinyl press with a full vocal and dub version to give it the fullest of transitioning from the '70s right up to the present day; with added sax features led by one of the best renowned musicians in the UK Dub scene, Digistep (from the highly-respected, Bristol duo - Dubkasm). This release will surely live up to what it sets to deliver in its full entirety!
