Throughout human history and across most native traditions, constant repetitive rhythms and the steady drone of chanting have carried shamans and other spiritual seekers into other dimensions in ecstatic trance. Even today, this music, as ancient as the rocks and wind, provides sacred transport to higher states of well being and bliss. Attaining the Shante Ishta is the goal of this journey. This is the “single eye of the heart," the third eye or wisdom eye of the ancients--the shaman's eye. It is the place where the individual soul attunes to the collective, universal heartbeat that unites us all.

Shaman's Eye brims with multi-layered currents of sound and chanting woven around a steady stream of theta rhythms. These provocative rhythms are designed to tap into our own ancestral depths and call us into the secret worlds of trance. Each of these musical landscapes is alive with its own distinctive spirit energy. As they carry us forward they become the vehicle for our journeys.

In the true spirit of musical alchemy, Amani Friend blends his technical skills with his innate understanding of the power of sound and vibration to heal and transform. With deep reverence, he weaves the strands of pan-global percussive and melodic expressions, sacred chants, and the atmospheres of nature around the steady heartbeat of trance to inspire inner journeys.

IV: Viintara is designed to take you deep into a sonic meditation experience, a full-spectrum sound journey composed at 432hz. For an initial exposure to this journey, try the hi-rez audio file on some quality speakers with a subwoofer, or on really good headphones. Close your eyes and drop into another world.

I infused Viintara with stillness and invoked a feeling of hibernation, peace and quiet. I envisioned a beautiful snowy white environment that envelops one in stillness, the gentle embrace of a quiet peace. I recorded an interplay of piano and violin, breathy icy vocals, and incorporated electronic production on deep bass frequencies, synths, muted heartbeat drums and sound effects. I also manipulated field recordings of icicles clinking, a gloved hand gently wiping the windowpane of snow, the crunch of boots on the snow-covered ground, the stark faraway call of a raven, and frozen branches creaking in the wind, recorded by my friend Joed Polly in Fairbanks, Alaska. It's a hi-fidelity sonic sound journey.

IV is 10 minutes long. Perfect for a #take10 meditation, a sweet savasana at the end of yoga, a little background music for studying or chilling out at the end of your day. The music soundtrack is designed to harmonize at the cellular level, the deep bass frequencies ground you, the textures tie you into the deep winter emotions of stillness and reflection.

The music of the Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) travels through the stars to infinity, reaching deep into your being through shamanic songs of healing.

This álbum contains ¨Shipibo Trance¨: In gratitude to the female being who gave us life, the heart rate of my partner Ely Araya and the ultrasound of my daughter Nina. 
An original icaro of Olivia Arevalo leader of the Amazonian ethnic group Shipibo-Konibo, with traditional Ecuadorian rhythms creating a state of trance, dance and meditation. 
¨The Day¨: The original shamanic icaro of Guillermo Arévalo next to the mantric seeds, different percussions and several keyboards that refresh the primitive songs of our ancestors. 
¨The Night¨: The ceremonial icaro of Víctor Ipashima and the psychedelic melody of the berimbao, varied percussion and the traditional Quenachos of the Andean sector with a slow mid tempo. 
¨Tshiwu¨: The Ecuadorian shamanic chants next to the Berimbao of Brazil, and many effects created with natural instruments, perfect match for the dance floor.

Music Producer and member of several groups around the world and session musician such as Cheick Tidiane Seik (Mali), Altiplano from Chile, Minük (Colombia – Suecia) Nicola Cruz (Ecuador), Huaira (Ecuador), Wañukta Tonic (Ecuador), among others. He has traveled around the world learning and disseminating the gift of music, his entry into this digital world comes from the musical production of Ñuka Shunku the first EP of Huaira, and the knowledge of various rhythms and music of the world that lead him to build a space through sound. The percussion is your means of communication, delivering your energy in all the projects produced by him and in which he has participated.
