This collection of work is very personal to me, these songs were made as a way to help me cope through the hardest year that I’ve experienced in my young life. Are the songs perfect? No, definitely not. However, every single one of these songs represent what I was feeling at the time of creation. It may not be painfully obvious what the feeling of each song is, but these songs act as a journal entry. Each of them is a little snippet of where I was at, at the time. 

This body of work also signifies a change in mindset when producing music. Over the past couple of years I have said to myself that I’m making music for me, as a way to express myself. Throughout the course of this project I have realized that I couldn’t have been more wrong. I had been trying to emulate sounds and styles that I was hearing, trying to copy the sound and success of other artists without really putting much effort into what I was creating. With this body of work I noticed that instead of trying to emulate how others produce and sound, I would experiment and do whatever I wanted to with my production. The result was infectious and reignited my passion for making music. 

Everything that has happened in the past year has been centered on family, be it good or bad. However, I wouldn’t change a thing. At the end of the day family has been everything to me for the past year, and my family was started in the year of 1996.
