What is the Ashan Project? 

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, was an ancient, evolving civilisation. They were among the first group of self aware inteligent life to evolve after the so called big bang. This was the civilisation of Ashan. Their role in the universe at the time was to master the potential of creativity, art and music. They have since evolved over billions of years into a higher sentient force and now govern the fundamentals behind creativity, art and music. A true free thinking entity. Their role now is to subconciously nurture the creative minds of growing infant civilisations in order to encourage free thinking! 

This earth is living in critical times and there are systems in place to stop our intelligent lives from reaching our full potential. The only real free parts of our mind we have left in western society is the mind state behind creativity, art and music, and it’s through this that we can make a real difference!

We are here on behalf of the Ashan civilisation to try and promote the use of electronic music, art and video installations in an effort to bring people toghether, to have fun, to dance, to be inspired and to try and make that difference to the way people interact and comunicate for a positive outcome. 

Using audio and visual techniques aimed at putting us in a collective mindstate, to release a joint spark of collective energy into the earth in the hope that it helps towards positive mentality in these changing times...
Anyway enough of the cosmic hippy bollox.............. 

Who are The Ashan Project?

Formed in 2007, the project consists of 2 members each bringing there own unique influences to the table to create a stunning, high energy audio performance. Specialising in a tuff, hard edged psy-trance sound with techno elements, sets can often be described as: inteligent, creative, driving, dark, twisted and very uplifting whilst not being too serious, appealing to the underground and with an effort to being accessible to overground dancfloors too. Also covering minimal techno, progressive, tech-house and electronica. As performers, expect high energy, unique and tight mixing styles, intense crowd interaction and creative stage surprises. Ashan Project have become well established within the northern underground scene and with over 75 professional gigs accross the UK, rocking clubs and venues as well as headlining some of the countrys freshest and up coming festivals, The Ashan Project are set and are on their way to becoming one of the most inovative DJ audio acts in the UK. Holding residencies at long time lancaster based events - Solar. and The mighty 11years running Leeds based events- Riff Raff.. Also signed to Elemental magik and their artist agency.
