Emissions being a 'release'... like pollution and also ejaculation

The overarching story is ambiguous and interpretive; it's a monologue and conversation about intimacy, exploring barriers to it - trying to find meaning and self-empowerment. Stylistically it is erratic and unfixed, but very inspired.

The resulting message is a release: a kind of soft and disoriented ecstasy.

EMISSIONS

Amazing to perform at Intox Extravaganza, at Daltons in Brighton, on the 18th December 2025. It was great to be joined by Aubrey Lavender on 2 of the songs. This was an experimental and improvised set; featuring existing tracks as fixed media, as well as improvised modular synthesis and spoken word. Such an honour to share the stage with so many cool and exciting artists!!

This set was a work in progress, and I'm excited to try more sets like this!
Intox Extravaganza was such a perfect event to showcase and share works in progress, but also try out and push some boundaries. Woo!

Recorded on handheld Zoom, but had to EQ so much bass and add a TONNE of makeup on the compression. So not best quality recording, sorry.

This is a protest song

It was written following a commission by a Manor House in Aylesbury
They asked me to respond to something meaningful to me on their grounds
I chose to write in response to their prisons for birds;
Specifically about a bird they held and captively bred there:
The Rothschild Mynah, also known as the Bali Mynah.

First Presented at the Manor, between November 11, 2017, until January 02, 2018

This is a song about the barriers placed between physical intimacy.

This song gained a new meaning for me after the loss of my beautiful friend Joelle / Tristessa.
The last time I saw her in person was at Trans Pride London 2023, where she was saying how much she liked this track. I said I had developed it, and she told me she had it on her ipod.
I asked how did she get it!? and she told me she had ripped it from my soundcloud...!!!!
I said she should have asked and I would have sent it to her. I sent her the track that day, but I think she preferred an older version!!!

Anyway, she was still listening to this track via my soundcloud not long before she passed away, and I will always hold that as a connection to her.

A comment she made is still there. Love you Triss 💜💜💜
