Berlin-based musician Subheim composes deep electronic music with acoustic elements. His work is a collage of field recordings, slow evolving drum beats, hypnotic melodies and echoing voices. Drawing from a wide spectrum of genres and influences, from ambient, drone and post-rock to downtempo, lofi, trip hop and even techno, his sonic journeys are there for cold nights, for long train rides, for one to sink into during or after the storm, for the sleepless and the loners.

Subheim's third album, Foray, is not for the faint-hearted.  An attentively crafted LP with emphasis upon clarity and enveloping warmth, Foray is driven by a progressive subtlety, yet supported by an underbelly of sometimes forlorn, and at other times, disturbing emotion. Moving away from the orchestral ensembles and soundtrack explorations of his second album, Subheim pursues a more minimal approach, taking a much darker turn to deep ambient textures blended with the added realism of field recordings.

Foray opens with Bitter, a concoction of wounded cello and illusory vocal recordings: and here we begin an introspective journey. From the sparse beauty of Alone's isolated piano to the aggressive ambience of techno-driven Arktos, we witness Subheim exploring new and diverse musical territories. Red Ridge, with its trip-hop feel, steers the listener through unsuspecting harmonic twists and saturated synth pads reminiscent of twentieth century dystopian film. Much of the material, sourced from heavy experimentation with instrumental, percussive and vocal sampling, remains recognisably Subheim in its core elements including his signature sustains, Middle-Eastern sounds and heavy reverberation. 

Foray is an urban album for winter listening, for loners and for night walks; for immersing oneself in melancholic thought and travelling through uninhabited barren landscapes. There is an underlying and disconcertingly familiar warmth crawling beneath its skin, pulling you forward into its musical arms, yet taking you to a place you'd rather not be.

Subheim has created an emotionally charged selection of works: driven, distant and constantly thought-provoking.

A lot of things have been said about Volor Flex, the young Russian producer whose music feels and acts like both a tribute and, at times, a cover of this mysterious iconic musician called Burial whom you might've heard of on previous occasions. 

Some people think "this sounds too much like the original, we don't need copycats" while others went as far as calling it "Burial v2". 
To each his own - the music is shamless and catchy. Have a go at it, leave all bias aside and take it in for how it sounds rather than what it stands for, you'll probably find yourself enjoying it

Dear Future sound community! 
Music is the unique instrument serving us to transmit and spread the cosmic energy between human beings. Rephrasing recent KOSIKK’s work “Remain”, “…we will leave, but music will remain”. Whatever happens music won’t disappear, music will heal us, learn us and make us humans.
Once, it was an enigmatic project named “The Industrialism”, some of you, of course, should know it well. The Industrialism was a Brazilian electronic/experimental music project of the elusive musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer Cesar “M1A1” Alexandre, formed in 2008 Rio de Janeiro and finished in 2013. Despite the ending of this project, Cesar continues to produce under other alias and projects. But the music of “The Industrialism” will remain forever as an example of true artwork.
Uploading one of his brilliant works of an exceptional beauty the full-length album Halo/Nicolas, I feel the need to spread it between human beings. This album is a bright example of what the future garage is and how it should  sound. “Halo/Nicolas” is a 36-minutes 2 track album which was self-released (not on label) by Cesar 01 May 2013.  

It's an astonishing album and beautiful masterpiece. Listen it and ENJOY !

Once described as "the love that remains" after someone is gone, saudade is the recollection of feelings, experiences, places or events that once brought excitement, pleasure, well-being, which now triggers the senses and makes one live again.

I LOVE MUSIC;

- I love when a track covers you, surrounds you, isolates you, seeps into your bloodstream, and its rhythm becomes the beat you breathe.

- I love when you listen to a track and you have that, "Aha! This! This is it! This is what I've been looking for" moment. When it brings an involuntary smile to your face. When it's just you and the dj and this track that makes time, and your heart stop in the middle of a crowded dancefloor.

- I love a bass line that makes your heart race; The anticipation and excitement before the build-up. I live for the thrill of that drop... Ecstasy... Bliss... Heaven... An orgasm... A sonic portrait of everything good in this world.

And then the track is done.
... And the sound is silence...
And you're so much more of the person you were before you discovered it. 

But even to say all that... Even to say, "I LOVE music," is an understatement.

Music makes me feel a sense of being transported outside and away from everything in life that seems to matter at the time and taken to a truer, more real place. It is sheer and sublime transcendence. It's a feeling so rare and so fleeting, that when it comes and goes, I'm left in the wake knowing only its absence and wanting… And always... Always wanting more. 

I don't just LOVE music - I am a music JUNKIE. 
This is my drug of choice. 
I am fucking HOOKED on this sweet drug
& truth be told, I probably won’t ever come off.
