"Nasaashit is the second release from Core Text, a new duo composed of Peow Beow & DLGHT (aka Futurstress, who already published an EP on Syrinx Music). Under this name, the two co-founders of ABRI CATALOG express their will for experimentation & freeform production. Between sheer noise, unstable rhythms and shifted club percussion, each of these sixteen titles seem to possess its own soul, while sharing a common aesthetics that permeates through the entire LP. In the line of their first release for White Garden, this new project illustrates their narrative sense, as well as their gift for sound carving, working on masses & volumes of sounds in order to find ever-moving balances. Though identifiable fragments (melodies, grimey rhythmic patterns, dub sirens, …) sometimes emerge through the mix, they collide with waves of saturations and weird bruises, definitely locating Nasaashit in noise music territory: between styles & genres, at the crossroads between the club & the lab, Core Text thus offer another release in line with Syrinx Music’s ethos."
