Love the natural, slightly more stripped back arrangement of this wonderful song. You have captured and retained the Celtic writing within the recording. The subtle change from the first chorus to the next two. Cant quite make out if its a complete chord, think it is or just the bass note but I really liked that, neat touch. Great drums that work so well with the tight bass. Gorgeous vocals for the fab lyrics. Excellent track guys.

love the brief chromatic descent from around 0.30; that piano/vocal section at the end is a thing of magic.

Ashes for Dreams is the Irish/Swedish band project of Johan Alm (https://soundcloud.com/jambrains) and Karen O’Mahony (https://soundcloud.com/monnodb).

Both coming from completely different cultures and musical backgrounds - incorporating between them classical, traditional, folk and rock - they had each previously produced solo work vastly different to the other’s. 

Johan’s style is heavy rock with a unique and gritty vocal style and guitar work admired and envied by many. Karen’s natural home is more folk, which to their surprise works beautifully in a heavy rock setting. Together, they are a magical combination, particularly when they duet - their distinctive voices blending as if made for each other!
