Ashlea Reale is a prominent fixture in the Western Australian folk scene, bringing local folklore to the forefront. She captivates audiences with her charming stories of local outlaws while her songwriting style displays her ability to combine humour with the heartfelt through clever melodic devices. Forgotten stories of bushrangers, convicts, lust and misfortune come to life through her raw, emotional songwriting.
Her music is both captivating and contagious, combining beautiful melodies with foot stomping rhythms. On stage, her presence exudes a humble confidence that encompasses her well rounded musicianship.
Taking to the stage with partner, Marlie Wanseth on lead guitar, and Maxx Carter on percussion, Reale gives a memorable and entertaining performance.
Reale most recently spent time in the North Midlands district of Carnamah, conducting songwriting workshops with Primary School students. These energetic workshops gave students the opportunity to put their local history into song.
Prior to 2017, Reale performed as part of duo, The Littlest Fox. Performing at folk festivals Australia wide, they gained international recognition in 2016 after they embarked on their first European tour.
