a tribute to Erik Satie, from my suite, "Three Hymnopedies."
with Todd Reynolds, violin.
Monsieur Satie stops by his local Hungarian cafe for some goulash; after which he begins the beguine to the live house band, steps on his partner's foot (on a diminished chord, of course), apologizes, gets it right the next time around; following dancing, perhaps a bit more goulash?  having enjoyed a most lovely evening, M. Satie heads home on foot, umbrella opened, is lifted by a gentle gust of wind, and carried off, ever-so-gently, into the heavens.

Hymnopedie No. 3, with Todd Reynolds
