I was approached by one of my longstanding clients to produce a bespoke soundtrack to accompany this Canadian TV commercial celebrating their 50th anniversary. The brief for this project described a delicate soundtrack but with a very specific emotional journey (Intrigue, Hope, Trust, Worry, Uncertainty, Resilience, Reward) to match the storyline of the film. I was also given 2 reference tracks and a specific palette of instrumentation to work with ('Jangly' Piano, Spiccato Cello, Tremelo Strings and vocal pads). Rarely is a brief so well defined for a TV advert soundtrack, but the client clearly had a vision for the piece as a whole and did a great job of getting across their requirements.

Athabasca University - TV Commercial

This music was composed to accompany film which is to run across TV, cinema and an online virtual launch event for a new college. A big inspiration for the sonic palette for this project was the 'Tron: Legacy' movie soundtrack.

I was fortunate enough to be part of a production team of over 50 people who came together to create this short, live-action film promoting the latest edition for the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy game franchise.

I was initially tasked with immersing myself in the Final Fantasy world to understand the the evolution of the game, the characters, the sounds, the special effects, in order to arm me with the inspiration I needed to produce the score and soundscape that was to complement the pace and punctuation of the action.

Final Fantasy XV - Live-Action Game Commercial Score

I composed this track to accompany a product reveal commercial film for a new 3D imaging product for Leica. The client wanted an energetic, positive, edgy track, which would bring excitement to the announcement at HxGNLIVE 2018 conference in Las Vegas. The direction of the sound came from a sample loop of the bass guitar riff you hear at the beginning of the track, which I was able to seamlessly splice with my own bass performance. This provided the foundations for a track that was always building to the end.
