Orange Spaces was created for a solo dancer in Ten Thousand False Thoughts. Ten Thousand False Thoughts is a contemporary dance theatre piece performed and created by Anna París and Raquel López with direction from Sebastián García Ferro and produced by La Casquería. This performance premiered at CICUS, Seville in April 2015.

3rd Stage Dance - 'Coloured Shapes'

I have a broken audio interface, so instead of moaning about it I have used it's faults to create my first experiment with electronic music.

Experiment #1

The result of my work from day 1 at the Barcelona International Dance Exchange. I'm using found sound from the rehearsal process to create the pieces, exploring the relationship between music/sound and dance

LAB (day 1)

The result of my second day at the Barcelona International Dance Exchange. Using sound again taken from the rehearsal process to create a truly unique and specific composition.  

LAB 2

My last composition made at the 2013 Barcelona International Dance Exchange. The LAB was exploring boundaries, and all the material used in this composition was taken from the sound of the rehearsal process. I found the LAB leaders giving boundaries to the participants so I used to create this piece.

LAB 3 - A Phrase

Ashley has worked as a composer and theatre creator for a variety of theatre genres ranging from contemporary dance/physical theatre, performance art and music/sound theatre.

After graduating from the University of Sussex with an MA in Opera and Music Theatre, Ashley has worked as both Composer and Musical Director. He continues to research and explore new forms of theatre and composition in order to create truly unique and innovative work.
