if I were to be a songwriter to the caliber that I dream of, I'd assume I'd have the space to record a song and the production not be heard through critical ears, because who I am is enough.  I have went years perfecting a story that I suppose is not supposed to be perfect. I record in my bedroom to 2-track instrumentals from YouTube. I enjoy creating songs with my words, experiences, emotions and ideas.  I don't really like performing; it's all really personal plus I'm too critical to be perceived so being front in center, I'd rather not.  the story, the album.. maybe the song I was wanting to explore meant being beyond where I am.  I was in the midst of a project where I was going to make my album, "dreamsore"  (the one I put on apple/spotify) a 'deluxe' and add three new songs. I had finished recording, but I dreaded everything else like the engineering and logistics of submitting it to those platforms that I feel expects professional quality--not something that sounded like old files. I think about the artist, frank ocean, and who he is behind the music. he's my favorite artist, and a lot his fans want more work from him.  to me, what he has already done is enough, but obviously I'd be thankful if he wanted to release more.       

it's weird, knowing that if I was frank ocean or any other fan favorite, listeners would be thrilled to hear my bedroom pieces on Soundcloud--maybe because of who I am and hopefully because they trusted it to be good. 

Life is ass right now, and I think that's because I'm growing. Juxtaposition. It's been five years of journeying through this dimension--the one where trusting and listening to my inner voice has been a fight. Yet, I'm doing it. This album is for the machine that I continue to step ahead of even if it's one step. It's the love that I am learning even when it feels uncomfortable because it's being seen. I am enough when I am unfinished, unhealed. I can thrive and not be perfect. maybe what I feel about things aren't always true. I hope this reaches anyhow...in the uncertainty and grief. This work was treasured and buried, but I found the courage to let it go.
