A Jazz Kissa In Japan is a space where youthful Japanese students came to listen to, this new genre of African Music From America Jazz.  There was not a lot of import of these Records so students and of course other hip culture makers and elders met up and not only listened to music.  They discussed politics, religion, planned protest and learned international culture.  These were tea shops as well so im sure health, and astrology were apart of their discussions.  It is my belief that Jazz Kissa's were popular because of The Japanese Culture's obsession with Mastery and Excellence.  This is what Jazz is about Mastery and Excellence, how well can you express your self through the music which is not a confine but a universal plane that encourages freedom for all.
