Carpet

I sat cross legged below the sheer cliffs misted in lilac, and as I looked up, the clouds coated in thin fragile glass grew larger and larger. As the mist rose upon me, I saw that the lilacs had faded, all I could hear were the waves collapsing against the soaring cliffs of the promised land.

I felt my chest growing light, as if somehow I knew the tranquility of the moment was fading.

...the mist spread itself further, in loops, all encompassing;
my breathe leaves me, indistinguishable from its surroundings in all the quantum.

I almost forgot to put my makeup on, “nevermind that now” I thought,
the gods rarely turned down offerings on the basis of appearance, much less on nights of the harvest.

brrrrrpt! Fireflies were colliding in the dusk light, the buzz of cicadas grew louder and it was time for, for uuuuhm …

Noise fades I sit down again hmmm the roots of the fire tree strangle me I blacked out. I found myself fading into the same darkness i called sleep, as the cicadas sang my requiem in hypnagogia, while the bugs buzzed around me.

Thoughts flowing. All my life I thought I was living, but now, as I am falling deeper into this relentless state devoid of connection to my past self... I just realised - I am barely even existing.

The thing i was scared of the most, turned out to be already me.

Paralyzed, i asked myself...

Do You Remember

At first Malenia was sleeping in the fields near the nags, growing limp in her garden. Her head was bogged down in regions. Stuck under rotting roots, her body turned red, browned, became hard, and on certain parts of her skin fungi formed there. She was dozing awake wandering somewhere else
But a woman died. A woman died at her feet.
Malenia woke up and remembered, remembered her name, her power, and especially this woman.
 Awake, at last, she got bogged down on the road. Powerful, with fierce smiles, Malenia went into the ruins, giggling at the confused avatars in her path.
She stumbled onto a battlefield.
Neither side interested her. She observed the flags for a long time before shooting them. It was only when they had finished burning that she jumped into the pile of soldiers. Hitting hides and scraps worked well for her, her body remembered. Malenia regained her fame. Feared. She popped up in battles and screwed up both sides. She laughed. Recite her name and her power over and over again until she was raised away toward total destruction.
The goal of the fight didn't matter, she won for her power.
But no one wins the war, some survive it, no less no more than that.
And the raging war in her skull, billions of bodies in her hands, the dirt of the knights on her fists, their blood in the little hairs of her body drove her crazy. 
On the battlefield no one was able to counter her. Even without swords arrows or maces, she fought. Bare hands, a hand of chairs, a hand of iron. She could be observed fighting continually. On stacked soldiers, corpses in large piles, she continued to wallow, to explode her body in violence, her head empty on those dead bodies. 
Malenia spent centuries like this, her brain forgotten, campaigning on random battlefields, hallucinating war injunctions in a mist, a sort of sticky cloud of spores, inside her Scarlett Plague. TOUT LE TEMPS. The blows and shots she had taken had opened the wounds of her illness. The mushrooms on her skin made her delirious. Its rot, its golden body, full of spores create a mind-blowing mist around her. 
Sometimes she dreamed of companions. A united band that fought against power together. She saw this dead woman at her feet being at her side again, reborn. Brandishing their swords as a duo. Her companions fighting for her with her. FIGHT TOGETHER
Unfortunately, nothingness caught up with her. She was alone. Completely Alone in a pile of dead skin and corpses. Alone to strike broken armor. 
a nothingness in which time and time again she hallucinated this same woman, who then said to her: “There you are I thought you all forgotten me.”
Unfortunately most of the time it encompassed nothingness all by itself. At least almost alone, it only let small creatures pass.She was stuck.
Then someone humming in her carcass. Under the crusts of her skin near her heart, Her chest hummed. She leaned her head on her chest.
The woman was there, tiny and ghostly. A shadow in a mechanism. A shadow stuck in a music box, under the crusts of rot. The music box was in the place of Malenia's heart, and the woman was her shadow. The woman was his shadow and had always been, obviously.
Malenia had just forgotten. 
The music box hums a melody more and more, ruminating on the past. 
She had already been awake, and already got mad, already trapped in the darkness, already back again looking at the tiny music box again, she had already forgotten and already remember again and again. Malenia was in a loop and it wasn’t new.
Malenia started to remember the women.
Her fire keeper never to be forgotten. Never to be forgotten. Since ever these women were in the shadow of every human being, every animal, every flesh malenia could meet.
She was there already. there already when malenia was a kid

Malenia broke the box.
