Spektre’s record label Respekt welcomes a dark and driving techno EP from Joris Turenhout.

Joris Turenhout is a Dutch artist making his debut on Respekt following peak time techno releases on other respected imprints ranging from T78's Autektone to Mark Reeve's SubVision.

Based in Amsterdam, Joris Turenhout is a respected DJ within the Dutch club scene. His compelling style is a fusion of powerful synths rich in melody and thundering percussion that’s shrouded in dark atmosphere.

“Take Me Away” is the first of the two tracks on this release and it opens with a throbbing bassline and grinding synths layered with rave-inspired chords. Its soulful vocals add uplifting tones to the menacing tension of the intense groove.

“Unholy” is a dark and ominous track with a thumping kick drum and monstrous bassline layered with the suspense of hypnotic vocal textures to create a devastating groove.

Asora is the new project of an artist who has been dedicated professionally to electronic music for the last 14 years. Being a vinyl addict his career has been mostly related to hardance but without neglecting all kinds of musical styles, from the beginnings of house or techno through soul, R&B or even orchestral music.

Nowadays, where techno allows total freedom to make music, from the most innovative sounds to those that return to the origins, Asora finds absolute affinity with the genre because it allows him to express his ideas and makes him feel free to be who he wants to be as an artist.

His first tracks, “Restart” (Finder Records), "Indestructible" and "For Alex" are already a declaration of intent, as well as the release of his own label, A&A Records. He released “Agatsu EP” on Reload Records (The Yellowheads label) and “Fairy Tale” on Mainground (Belocca label) too, reaching the Top #10 on Beatport Hype Top 100 for a month and supported by all-genre artist such as Oliver Heldens / Hi-Lo, Space 92,Pawlowski, Bryan Kearney, Popof, Nghtmre, Slander, Marie Vaunt and many more

In addition, he also manages the "Techno7e7" community, with more than 25.000 followers on Instagram, 20.000 on Spotify and his own club in Madrid "You Are" The Club.
