Before you ask..

Yes that is the REAL Scott Ian from Anthrax on the intro, it's a long story involving the procurement of a human skull BUT never let it be said that Aspects are not Metal. 

Rockrap was originally released as a CD for sale exclusively on the mammoth "Free The Bees Tour" in 2005, where we were blessed to share the stage every night with The (mighty) Bees and the legendary Little Barrie. 
Rockrap spread like a zombie plague and tracks were soon featured on Radio 1 and the entire mix was broadcast on Ninja Tune's Solid Steel show. This viral phenomena even lead to a hand-stamped white label 12" of "Freedumb Song" (Zutons Jack) & "City Limits" (Gonga Remix).

The concept of the mix was to give ya'll a peep behind the curtain, to big up our crew of misfits and to show that The Dirtbombs and Muddy Waters sit next to Jay-Z  on the Aspects playlist...

This little nugget of Aspects history was ripped from Monkey Moo's considerable cassette tape archive. Here we present our first live appearance on BBC Radio 1. We've spared you our interview section and dropped straight into the BEATS & RHYMES! Even though we were mad young, the Aspects Voltron rap formations are in full effect!

Kings' English is the pure cut and paste spirit of Hip Hop fused with the DNA of garage rock. Trapped under reels of mis-spliced tape and tangled cables, Printer's Devil plundered, without remorse, a path from Bowie via Arcade Fire while stealing Afrika Bambaataa's perfect beat on the way. Hosted from the belly of a decommissioned Russian sub, on three busted handheld mics and a Roland Space echo, this Pirate's travelogue is a treasure chest of pilfered funk and unlicensed soul.

Aspects - Kings' English (Chopped + Screwed by Printer's Devil)

Formed in 1996, the band's trio of emcees—Bubber, El Eye and Mantis—cut their teeth freestyling throughout Bristol, England, firstly appearing in underground night spots and later performing throughout Blighty and beyond. Disconnected with the 'virtual' music scene, Aspects were unaware of the existence of the internet until well after the turn of the century.
