Arctic Night

A sound work by Sakat that emerges from direct contact with electrical current, not as a tool, but as a field of hidden structures. What appears as a simple flow of energy reveals layered worlds within it, micro-patterns nested inside one another, unfolding beyond human intention.

Through a self-made contact microphone, electricity becomes audible as more than noise or signal. Within feedback, interference, and instability, smaller systems speak from inside larger ones. The work follows these internal architectures rather than imposing form upon them.

During the process, control dissolves. The body no longer acts as a creator, but as a conductor, a passage through which unseen orders briefly surface. In this moment of exposure, authorship weakens and listening takes precedence.

This piece reflects on the idea that creation does not always originate from will. Even within a current measured and mapped by science, there exist concealed worlds, where creation repeats itself at ever smaller scales, waiting not to be designed, but to be revealed.
