So here's what I was away spending my time on...Ichirou Honda makes his debut in a music video that took a solid MONTH to finish!

So funny story, I took a music video class this past semester and the final project was making a music video!  I feel really strange being one of the only people with an art and design background in a communications class.  You can always tell when the work comes from a communications class and not an art or design class....let's just say that

I've wanted to finish the music video for this for a while and I thought I'd seize the opportunity during class time...for better or for worse

This semester was really awful and rough and I really don't want to talk about it much

Anyway, Ichirou and Ichiko make their first appearance!  Ichirou's vocals are the only ones that are present in this. 

Ichirou and Ichiko are two separate beings that, when fused, make up the Antichrist.  Ichirou and Ichiko were split permanently and weakened somewhat due to events neither can remember and now roam the earth in search of answers.  The only person that seems to know something about their past is Jeudi, but due to his general nature of being a (literal) clown and extremely volatile, it's unlikely they'll get answers out of him.

I was wondering why there wasn't a full UST for this song and then I realized when I went searching for the instrumental that there just really isn't a good full instrumental lol, what a tragedy

I worked with what I have but a lot of this is vocal removed audio cancer, I apologize 

I've been playing Yakuza pretty dedicatedly for a few weeks now, I did a really quick playthrough of the main story in 0 and I'm getting through Kiwami now.  I already capped out on Majima everywhere in Chapter 4 so I need to continue with the main story if I wanna see him again...but not before I make sure I have all the side stories this time, I ended 0 with an abysmal 12% completion.  I completed Yakuza 0 and I only cried 20 times.

I knew pretty much as soon as I started making the UST that KYE would be who I'd choose, his voice is just very suitable for this genre.   Also, it's kinda funny how the two most standout bandmates in SADS now have a Yakuza cinematic universe.  Miyuki I'll now use for all of Kiryu's songs, as far as I know Majima only has this song which makes me really fuckin bummed

I hope that I'll get to play all the Yakuza games someday...minus the first two from '05 we don't talk about those ones...

This was a really really fun song to UST, I hope that you guys like it!  If there's mistakes, I do apologize.  There were a couple places that I implemented more stylistic choices that aren't 100% in line with the original song. Some words are easier to swallow than others

So some AssBackwards Lore, I started this song back in NOVEMBER of last year (just checked the date Jesus Christ) and I've been toying with it off and on since then.  It was one of the only songs I ever really audiated?  I have no problems visualizing stuff, my imagination and mind's eye are very very clear and vivid, but my mind's ear is just...deaf.  I have clearly dreamt of another song I made but I haven't made that one yet, not sure if I will?

Anyway, point is I was excited to make the song but the main problem was it just lacked direction.  I made the melody and beat but didn't really have a plan in mind.  I then thought "well this is kinda banging, what if I turned it into a Majima song?"  First of its kind; I'd never made a fansong before, and for a while, I was hyped for it.  Over time, I just lost interest in this particular song - not producing in general, just this one.  I had no idea where I could take the song besides what I showed here.  I had a hazy idea of what lyrics I'd write but no vocal melody to speak of, and choosing who would sing it would be another beast.  So I just decided rather than 100% shelving what I had, I'd just clean up the loose ends and make an instrumental track.

It does end pretty abruptly, I just really can't be bothered to somehow force inspiration where there is none.  I mainly am putting this out because I want to show what I've been doing musically more.  I've been doing quite a bit of my own remixing and original production behind the scenes, and a lot of it has to be kept under wraps because it's tied to voicebank releases.  As much as I would love to show what I've been doing, I have to wait until banks and music videos are done.  This luckily kind of bridges that gap between my more typical and polished content.

This song was meant to be a Majima character song of sorts, but this is more "Majimafeel" than an actual song about Majima.  The "official lore" is that Majima created this song with a guitar hero controller, though.

Even if I'm not the happiest about how this all turned out, I can have a little modicum of fun with a visualizer.  And hey, content!
