James Johnston is no stranger to Assembly Records, in 2011 his remix of Manuel Regnet’s ‘Joy’ raised the bar to become our biggest selling track of the year. Again in 2012, he appeared alongside No Artificial Colours and Michael McLardy to remix the mighty ‘Make Me Feel’ single by Se-Je.

On The Run is James’ first original release with two cracking remixes courtesy of Extended Play’s T-Bone and our favourite Russian export, Ponty Mython.

Whilst the original explores the tougher end of Johnston’s sound, both remixes take a complimentary, yet entirely different approach.

Delving into new Assembly territory, Ponty Mython’s acid-tinged interpretation takes inspiration from early breakbeat house whilst T-Bone ramps-up the tempo to deliver a full-on techno assault.

EP45 is upon us and offering up even more killer N.I electronics in the form of Jordan's Different Strokes EP.

The title track is a proper party starter as displayed on Boilerroom Belfast where Timmy kicked his set off with it to rapturous approval. It's a stone cold juno jam and has been hitting the sweet spot for us every single time.

Law of one is another lesson in slick synth work from Mr Nocturne and is packed with layers of emotive textures. For fans of Trevino et all, this is a must.

Finally sweatbox closes the EP with a robust club cut that is sure to get the speakers popping and bodies gyrating. So a solid first outing on the EP front from Jordan.
