We wanted to build the concept of this mini compilation around the 'kitchen', as it is very often regarded as the 'soul' of the house where a large portion of daily activities take place. Whether it's preparing food, grabbing a quick snack from the fridge, or simply having a coffee with a mate over an extended countertop, its function does seep quite deeply into how we live. So for this holiday season (if you are having one), we thought it's rather appropriate to curate and share with you a collection of music from our artists and affiliates - A compilation that would hopefully provide and enhance the environment for those who might be preparing that festive feed for loved ones and friends. 

After all, music is that one true universal language which injects positivity and good energy.

Woody Latuheru a.k.a KA-YU (DTW/AIM) is a young producer, percussionist and dj from a little village in Holland called Oosterwolde. His roots lay in Holland and Kilang, a village in Ambon, one of the Islands of Maluku. His love for music and beatmaking goes very deep and the music he makes comes right from his heart and soul.

In his later years, he began listening to Hip Hop and R&B which shaped his sounds. At the age of 14, he started making sample based beats and taught himself the fundamentals, sampling jazz, soul, funk & r&b.

In 2014 he really started to focus on making good quality music and released the song ''Forbidden Fruit''. This was a eyeopener to him to push his music career to a next level.
Currently he is working hard on his beats and is also focussing on being a percussionist.

KA-YU's inspirations to make music comes from God, his family, the Art In Melodies collective and his ancestors. but his biggest source of inspiration will always be his father who taught him how to play rhythms on several percussion instruments.

Be on the lookout as he's currently working on a EP, ''Yung Kayubesi'' due out later on this year.

I’ve been sitting on this for a week at first I didn’t want to upload or even type this, not looking for sympathy or anything just want to vent really and maybe bring comfort to anyone dealing with loss.
Losing a family member is one of the worst feelings especially an immediate family member so when it actually happened last week it was so weird. I didn’t feel anything at first, I felt at peace really knowing the last conversation I had with them was full of banter and laughs. Then I went to work as if everything was normal but after an hour a flood of tears started forming in my eyes which felt weird because I haven’t cried in at least 5 years (I actually feel dumb for typing this). I shut myself off from everyone and stayed in my room, music was the only form of therapy for me and that is pretty much how I made this. You think your family will be there forever so you don’t spend as much time with them and that is totally the wrong way to go about life, I’m actually pissed that it took a death for me to have this epiphany.
I chose the sample of “Will you ever know?” because that is what I asked myself when I sat in my room, Even though I didn’t try my hardest to make time for them until it was too late will they ever know that I still cared for them?
It’s ironic, I’m trying to work hard so I can be happy and spend time with my family but in order to do that I need to spend less time with them and be working.
This description is going on way too long lol but yeah, I know you and Grandad are watching from above so I’m going to work twice as hard for my family that is with me today.
