1. Wie hat Corona euer Künstlerleben verändert?

Es hat meinen ganzen Alltag sehr verändert. Seit fünf Jahren bin ich eigentlich konstant am Wochenende auf Tour. Dies fällt seit März komplett weg und fühlt sich mit der Zeit schon eigenartig an. Mir fehlt der Vibe, das gemeinsame Zelebrieren von Musik und das ganze Drumherum. Doch ich versuche Positives aus dem Ganzen zu ziehen, arbeite an verschiedenen Projekten, für die ich sonst keine Zeit hätte, und kümmere mich wieder mehr um meine Freunde und Familie. Das ist auf jeden Fall eine schöne Sache, die mir gut tut und Kraft gibt.

2. Wo habt ihr diesen Mix aufgenommen? Wie ging es euch dabei?

Sehr gut ging es mir dabei. Neben Streams, habe ich verhältnismäßig lange keinen Podcast mehr aufgenommen und gerade hatte ich mal wieder richtig das Bedürfnis die ganzen Songs, die ich in den letzten Monaten gesammelt habe, zusammenzumischen. Das Ganze ist bei mir im Wohnzimmer entstanden.

3. Was wünscht ihr euch für die Zeit nach oder mit Corona?

Ich bezweifle, dass es in absehbarer Zeit eine "Zeit nach Corona" geben wird. Wir müssen lernen mit dem Virus zu leben und ich wünsche mir Konzepte, die es trotz Corona möglich machen Veranstaltungen durchzuführen. Die Leute brauchen Begegnungen und die Veranstaltungsbranche wieder Arbeit.

Corbi make his Kouncil Cuts debut, with the beautifully crafted ‘Decoy’ EP. 

Three cuts soaked with deep textures, smothered over grooves that walk the line between breaks, jungle and deep house.

“You Do It’ opens the EP with a flawless blend of melodic dream-like strings and pads against a rugged breaks sample, and warm bass hits that hook you into its groove from the beginning. A finely executed style that’s made Corbi’s an in-demand artist of late. 
“Left Of Centre” continues to prove the versatility of this EP as a crate essential. Nostalgic keys, underpinned by another rolling breaks cut and a climbing bassline that pulls you up and in. Building towards a sliding 303, you can feel yourself falling into it. The third and final track on the EP, 
“Corkscrew” flips the rhythm, with a grinding deep house flow that punches through the chest to soothe your soul. Sweeping Rhodes and plucking bass notes move through the track amongst finely cut vocals and percussion, culminating in a groove that makes it impossible to stand still.

Hailing from the Rhein-Main area Philipp Lauer provides the scene with top-class music under several aliases or with various projects. Under the Tuff City moniker Philipp produces music with Running Back head-honcho Gerd Janson, while for the Black Spuma project Lauer teams up with Fabrizio Mammarella and then there is Philipp doing music as Lauer and releases music on renowned labels such as Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, Futureboogie Recordings, Cin Cin or Running Back. In all modesty those labels have defined the history of electronic dance music  over the past one or two decades. An influence that cannot be denied but can rather be found in Lauer's own music or DJ sets. Speaking of the latter, the charming Frankfurt boy, or the DJ from the speckgürtel, compiled the latest art:cast taking the listener from disco to disco with a dubby start to create an overall heterogeneous composition that soaks you into its vibe from start to finish.

Markus Königs is a DJ from Eupen and has long been a child of electronic music. Driven by his passion and awareness of qualitative and danceable techno, he loves using his Technics by mixing his outstanding tracks selection in order to pump the juice of his own quality musical style. Well-known as an organizer of his own party series Wildes Treiben, he has so far built his name through the public of East Belgium. On his numerous gigs, he surely knows how to enthuse the audience. He played at noticeable places like the Strange Agency's events, Eupen Music Marathon Festival, Trakasspa Festival, the Music Bunker or legendary Schacht club in Aachen, the Zodiac Club in Brussels and the AVA Club in Berlin. His style is multifaceted and characterized by vocals and melodic varieties, supported by pressing and rolling basses. With the aim of constantly offering his audience a new sound experience, he always makes the needles swing.
