Asthmatic Harp (30/5/20)

ASTHMATIC HARP is the musical moniker of Oxford based songwriter and composer Hannah Fredsgaard-Jones. Through the ethereal autoharp, gentle guitar strumming, hushed and tumbling melodies, Asthmatic Harp is synonymous with a sound that manages to be comforting, folksy, eerie, and personal, all at once. 
Born in Denmark before moving to the UK, Hannah began performing on the London music scene with her debut EP in 2015. In 2018 she was handpicked to the prestigious Roundhouse Resident Artist Program. Asthmatic Harp has featured on Danish National Radio and the BBC (6 Music and Radio 3). She has supported Sam Palladio in the Roundhouse and Mary Lattimore during her recent European tour and played gigs across Europe and America, including a gig at the inaugural Kite Festival 2022. Her latest EP ‘Things We Learned To Live With’ was lauded as “a delightfully playful slice of alt-folk” receiving acclaim from blogs ‘For The Rabbits’, ‘Listen With Monger’ and ‘Bristol in Stereo’ and culminated in 21 virtual concerts, including a sold-out concert for Low-Fi Denmark, appearances at The Takeover Fest and at Southside Fringe.
