Folie Sacrée is the debut full length record of Chicaloyoh, musical incarnation of Normandy resident Alice Dourlen. Creating music between soundscape exploration and intimate contemplation, Chicaloyoh is a mix of guitar, keyboards and percussions from distant and various horizons.
The album has been recorded deep in the wood in the artist’s very own Chaudelande studio during the spring of 2013. Attracting those who like the priestess singings of Grouper or french legend Catherine Ribiero, Folie Sacrée is a beautiful exploration in ambience and darkness recalling the mysticism of Popol Vuh and the late-night incantations of Nico.

Currently touring the UK with Sylvester Anfang’s BBLL, she will cross the sea for the second time for an extensive US tour with High Wolf in september 2013.

Singing with an almost pastoral verve, the minimalist and intimate soundscapes of Chicaloyoh combined with her simultaneously tender and strong voice are the foundation for her avant-garde mantras.
Mastered by James Plotkin and press on 180gr black vinyl, Folie Sacrée stood has a stunning document of the celestial awaked nightmare from one of today’s most exciting french musician.

Framed is best listened to as you think about the last scene in Casablanca. 

Though Frank dons a calm face, there is no doubt of the underlying emotion behind his appearance. Framed is about his thoughts as he watches his love walk off into the gray, to get on an airplane and never come back again. It’s about the sweet, now ash tasting memories of times they shared before innocent love was torn apart by the war. It’s about the enveloping emotions of heartache, and hopelessness that threaten to crumple him. And… at the end of it all, it’s about waking up the next day and facing the world, drained of color, but with a belief that one day the color will return.

Atomic, the new album by Scottish experimental rock legends Mogwai, is composed of reworked versions of the music recorded for the soundtrack to director Mark Cousin's acclaimed documentary Atomic: Living In Dread and Promise, which first aired on BBC Four last summer.

Constructed entirely of archive film, Atomic is an impressionistic kaleidoscope of the horrors of our nuclear times – protest marches, Cold War sabre-rattling, Chernobyl and Fukishima – but also the sublime beauty of the atomic world, and how x-rays and MRI scans have improved human lives. Mogwai's soundtrack encapsulates the nightmare of the nuclear age, but its dreamlike qualities too. It is the latest in the band's series of impressive soundtracks and scores, following acclaimed albums Les Revenants (The Returned) and Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait.

Cousins says of Atomic, the film: "I'm a child of the nuclear age, and in my teens I had nightmares about the bomb. But physics was my favorite subject in school, and I nearly studied it at university. Learning about the atomic world excited me. It was like abstract Star Wars."

Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite says: "The Atomic soundtrack is one of the most intense and fulfilling projects we've taken on as a band. Ever since we went to Hiroshima to play and visited the peace park this has been a subject very close to us. The end results, both the film score and the record are pieces I'm extremely proud of."

Sissi Rada presents her debut album “Pragma”, due for release in November 2016.

It took two years to compose and produce “Pragma”, which is the answer to her self released split EP “Personae”, released in 2013. The recordings took place in Berlin and Athens with her permanent collaborator and producer, Max Trieder. The album features guest appearances from artists who have contributed in many ways to the identity of Sissi Rada: Camerata Athens Quartet, Sergiu Nastaza (solo violin), Niklas Lutterbach (soundscape) and Florian Bitzer, Sebastian Meyer and Constanze Trieder (wind instruments).

This thematic album is an attempt to highlight the sensitivity of the things that surround us. It deals with the universal word "pragma" and its various uses and delves into the psychic bond of modern man with symbols, symbolism and referentiality. Bilingual lyrics underline the multi-culture of the times and the common words our unisexual root. Music-wise, it is hard to describe the sound of Sissi Rada for the reason that pop, electronic and classical elements blend in a unique way.

Μουσικά, δύσκολα περιγράφει κανείς τον ήχο της Sissi Rada καθώς ποπ, ηλεκτρονικά και κλασικά στοιχεία αναμειγνύονται με μοναδικό τρόπο για να δώσουν ένα εξίσου μοναδικό genre που η ίδια ονομάζει coquettish-classical-electro-doom pop.

Sissi Rada - Little White Boat

In September 2008 Efterklang and The Danish National Chamber Orchestra collaborated on a special, start to finish, performance of Efterklang's 2nd album Parades from 2007. 

The concert was recorded and filmed and was released in 2008 as a live album and concert film. 

Efterklang later performed Parades with local orchestras in London, Leeds, Amsterdam, and Stockholm.

David Lynch & Lykke Li - I'm Waiting Here

Born in 1999, Asthmatic Kitty Records was originally conceived as a platform for musical projects by a community of artists from Holland, Michigan, a small city on the shore of Lake Michigan. Some were Holland natives, and others had come to attend local colleges and universities. While the original Holland nucleus has now dispersed to various parts of the country, the fellowship is still growing, with new friends and shared projects with other independent labels. Asthmatic Kitty is now based in Lander, Wyoming, Indianapolis, Indiana and New York City.

Asthmatic Kitty was named after Sara, a voluptuous orange and white longhair who wandered out of the woods in 1995, pregnant, starving, and afflicted with various parasites and ailments, including feline asthma. Although she still wheezes a bit, especially when being chased by her sister Tabby, Sara today enjoys a healthy and happy life of luxury. Cast-off animals make the best pets!
