1. Am I saved by my own good works or by grace through faith in Jesus Christ?
2. Why does Jesus speak of good works at the Final Judgment? 
3. Why will you be surprised on the Last Day?

Second To Last Sunday

Sermon preached by Pastor Preus for the Final Sunday of the Church Year based on Matthew 25:1-13, the Ten Virgins. 

"The Christian loves God, wants to be with God. Like a little girl waiting for her daddy to come home and give her a kiss; or a wife waiting up for her husband to return and embrace her and tell her he loves her, so a Christian desires to be with God, to hear his word, to receive his grace. "

Christ will return like a thief in the night. Only those with oil (faith) will be prepared. Those without true faith will be like the five foolish virgins, who got locked out. Are you prepared?

1. Why is Jesus' lesson urgent? 
2. Where do you get faith?
3. How are you prepared for Christ's return?
