Collectively, we are Prism Obsidian.

Obsidian is a visual artist and researcher in postcolonial theology, culture and education. She is taking a Black Quantum Afrofuturist approach towards tackling issues of racism, cultural appropriation, intersectionality and sustainable urban regeneration by drawing on an image of global Black cultures.

Prism is a musician and visual artist specialising in rainbowgoth sound design and crafting analog double exposure captures. She is based in Berlin and responds to the inspiration of memory, saturation, and the dreamworld.

In 1992, you gave me a book to fill, but knowing my handwriting, it will take the rest of my life. I took a long break between the ages of 12 and 34; it could have been less but also, it could have been more. I wasn't as meticulous then as I am now, but I still ask questions no one knows the answers to, like:

When I picked up the book again, I couldn't write any poetry. Instead, I recorded my dreams and my tarot readings. All of my confessions have moved into songs and the occasional photograph. Wanna know why all of my predictions for you were so bizarre? It's because I couldn't bear to tell you the truth: you didn't belong here anymore, you were just waiting to die.
