beautiful melody with a oriental feel to the music!- definetly a "weaveworld"...at 1:32- such a beautiful changeup!

This Synth demo, featuring the sounds of the Roland JP-8000 & the Korg MS2000B with a Roland XV-5080 Piano is dedicated to Edgar Willmar Froese, a German artist and electronic music pioneer, best known for founding the electronic music group Tangerine Dream and responsible for many film scores, TV & computer game soundtracks.

Tangerine Dream were a huge influence to me during my formative years, after first hearing the track White Eagle on the UK's BBC Radio 1, on one Sunday's evening during 1982!

After having recently acquired more equipment for my studio, I wanted to see how the Korg would sit on top of the lush SuperSaw pads of my JP-8000 & also throw in a Piano from my XV-5080 which had been sat unused for sometime as I want to start using this great rack synth.

As I also recently purchased Nicky Romero's Kickstart VST plug-in for my studio DAW Cakewalk Sonar, I wanted to test & hear how all this equipment would work & sit together in a basic mix!

I therefore produced this short demo a couple of weeks ago for this purpose using only the on-board effects of the synths mentioned, with only a reverb being added at the end to give some ambience to the whole track with no other external effects/plug-ins, EQ, compressors, etc or additional production, so that I could form a proper judgement.

I wasn't originally going to publish this but due to the track's title, "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" & the recent death of Edgar Froese, somehow it seemed fitting to upload this to SoundCloud & dedicate this to him as a kind of mark of respect & acknowledgement of the tremendous inspiration he was to me.

I therefore present my short rendition of this track, which was originally written by another German electronic music producer, Ronny Schneider & again this also seemed quite fitting for the occasion.

Astral Dance (Pelle Handén) Pelle Handén started out in Stockholm in the mid 80’s. making the album: “Mindgate” an instrumental synth based mixture . Well received by the synth audience, continuing working with an album for LCM/CBS. “Beyond”, a majestic synth symphony.

 In 1992 ”Dreamscape” was released, an album with a new fresh soundscape at the spanish label Lektronic soundscape. Followed by a mini CD “David 256” -95, installation art music. After a number of years composing for TV and film, Pelle made his way into more pop based music. Together with the female vocalist Magoria releasing the album “The Divine Child”. A mix between electronica and pop. 

The Swedish synth electronica Astral Dance is back again with universal ultrasonar melodic soundscapes composition and production music
