Waldfunk [ALVA02.1]

Haarlem-based DJ & Producer Gan D continues to paint soundscapes to explore the human consciousness for Astral Lab. 

Drawing inspiration from the pulsating rhythms of early 2000s Progressive Psytrance and the ethereal landscapes of fast-paced, tripped-out trance, Gan D crafts immersive soundscapes that transcend earthly boundaries. Navigating the crossroads of euphoria and the surreal, Gan D crafts an experience that invites listeners to delve deep into the mysteries of the mind and embark on an astral trip like no other.

Hello wonderful people!

My nickname is Emmy alias E.P.L.E. I was born and raised in Spain and have been living for a while in Germany.

I started making music during Corona times.

I don't really have a specific genre, I like to choose different styles for different audiences, but I've been in love with progressive trance, hard trance and psytrance for a while.

This is the first solo psytrance mix that I have done, I would love to thank astral.lab for this opportunity to bring it out there to you guys.

This set brought me to a happy green forest, so I hope u feel the same as I do with the set.

It starts with some hypnotic and ethereal psy, then gets into darker trippy mood and in the end there is a bit of fun progressive trance vibe.

This mix is a live recording of Wendy’s opening set from the second ‘Familiegilde’ party, a DIY concept born in the summer of 2024. The idea is simple: good friends dancing to great music and having a great time together in the undisturbed nature on the outskirts of Copenhagen. The set is a trippy 135 BPM journey, moving from minimalistic sounds to a Goa trance selection that emphasizes dynamic and syncopated grooves.

MIX SERIES: project 13 - Cirrus

indebraendt has always been about the reintroduction (on the dance floor or through the speakers) of those dark fathoms in which we find ourselves lost at Sea, yes, in the grasp of those wildly uncontrollable waves called life. 

For indebraendt electronic music is the act of dancing with and rising upon these waves - as if one was in tune with some otherworldly electrical current. 

It is a reintroduction of these darker energies in purified form, though - like washing away the darkness from the stars or distilling gold from sand through a sieve somewhere in the mines of Klondike. It’s the function of all expression to make motion sing and emotion dance - and, in the case of electronic music, to enchant that which is not human with the humane.

bratanova is a DJ, music producer, and digital artist based in Leipzig, Germany. Deeply rooted in the
many subgenres of psychedelic music, she constantly explores new sonic territories, drawing inspiration from mainly trance, psy techno, and tekno. 
Together with her partner Vladislost she forms the DJ duo 3-phasen-depot and co-founded the podcast series 3rd Spectrum Cast last year — a platform dedicated to giving fellow artists space to share their unique sound. 
As part of the collective Push Gang he is also involved in organizing events in Leipzig. For this mix, Bratanova weaves together deep hypnotic sounds, uplifting dreamy synths, as well as organic patterns and breaks, all performed across three decks.

techlab.bp premiere: Item 9 - Taeppet [ALVA02.2]

Hi, I’m Sven —
a fan with fervent affections,
a goofy ghost of long-lost trance nights.
Through a few fortunate coincidences, I found my musical refuge here — in times of personal and worldly distress. Space Trax and Ute Label Nights taught me that a club isn’t just a place to numb your feelings, but a space to embrace them in fleeting moments of shared catharsis.
Somewhere along the way, dancing quietly turned into my own pretentious church service — familiar faces, minimal communication, maximum presence. Sometimes I like to pretend it’s (group) therapy, mainly because it sounds healthier that way.
This mix is my attempt at a cheesy closing journey for my closing set at Gisela — a passing on of experiences I deeply love, and that often leave me in tears, in a gentle, dissolving way.
After my first (and also last) DJ sets, I realized that the joy of curation can’t quite outweigh my physical pain of being perceived. So I return to finding joy in spinning records at home or with friends and sending a mixtape into the ether now and then.
Apart from that, I continue doing what I do best: supporting you while you support us with delicate sounds — and procrastinating on my own music production. ✿ ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
