SecondNature is the psytrance project of Andrew Pewsey. Laying down roots at an early age he made a name for himself on the South African Psytrance scene in Johannesburg between 2004 and 2010 under an old alias Smurf with Red Eye Productions and Amoeba Records.

Now living on the North Island of New Zealand, with a more mature sound which is a combination of crisp percussion, melodic basslines, infectious rhythms, and psychedelic soundscapes that flow together in a way that creates an immersive experience and unsurpassed energy for the listener and dance floor alike.

Hello wonderful people!

My nickname is Emmy alias E.P.L.E. I was born and raised in Spain and have been living for a while in Germany.

I started making music during Corona times.

I don't really have a specific genre, I like to choose different styles for different audiences, but I've been in love with progressive trance, hard trance and psytrance for a while.

This is the first solo psytrance mix that I have done, I would love to thank astral.lab for this opportunity to bring it out there to you guys.

This set brought me to a happy green forest, so I hope u feel the same as I do with the set.

It starts with some hypnotic and ethereal psy, then gets into darker trippy mood and in the end there is a bit of fun progressive trance vibe.

“The opportunity to be in the same room as Stella Nutella should not be passed up!” (Rolling Stone Magazine, India) 

Hanna Flemström grew up in Örnsköldsvik in North Sweden, but she started DJ’ing in 1998 in London where she was living as a student. The nickname Stella was given to her by her Italian best friend because of her stellar glow, ‘Nutella’ added by an English friend ‘because she is a bit of a nutter’!  

Stella started playing psytrance and techno in underground clubs such as Tyssen Street Studios and soon she also got booked to spin in big festivals abroad… DanceValley (NL), Celebra Brasil (Brazil), Vortex (South Africa), Solipse Total Eclipse Festival (Zambia), VOOV Experience & Summer Dreaming (Germany), Sola Luna Samothraki (Greece), Gaian Mind (USA) to name a few!

During the following 20 years music took Stella to over 30 countries where she played everywhere from underground raves on magical beaches or hilltops, to the most glamorous night clubs and events for top brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hennessy Artistry and Esquire Magazine. . From 2006 to 2015 she had her base in Malaysia where, while playing clubs all around Asia, she also held DJ residencies such as WINK (Taj Hotel, Mumbai) and SKY BAR (Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur) where she also acted as music consultant. From 2008-2015 she ran a successful DJ agency ‘Amazon Agency’ supporting female talent, providing entertainment to luxury hotels such as Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La group, Taj and Sheraton all over Asia, in the Maldives and in Dubai. 

While in Kuala Lumpur Stella also organised her own club events; ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ with only Swedish artists (Pisco Bar), and ‘Queens of Hearts’ ( ZOUK CLUB): every year on international women’s day the event would raise money for women’s charities in Malaysia and in Bali.

Parallell with the gigs Stella also started taking steps into the world of music production and got accepted into doing a 2 year production course in Sweden’s most prominent song writing academy; ‘Musikmakarna’. Since 2000 Stella has released tracks on CD and vinyl on various labels. 

Since 2015 Stella lives in Sweden again and after a few years break to fully focus on family life she is now active again with both local and international gigs plus of course a fresh focus on music production… The first ‘Queens of Hearts’ event took place in Sweden in May 2024 and she rocked a 'retro' psychedelic trance set at the Goa Guardians stage at ZNA festival, Portugal in July 2024. MIX SERIES: project 10 - Stella Nutella (recorded in 2001)

This mix is a live recording of Wendy’s opening set from the second ‘Familiegilde’ party, a DIY concept born in the summer of 2024. The idea is simple: good friends dancing to great music and having a great time together in the undisturbed nature on the outskirts of Copenhagen. The set is a trippy 135 BPM journey, moving from minimalistic sounds to a Goa trance selection that emphasizes dynamic and syncopated grooves.

MIX SERIES: project 15 - .everyone

indebraendt has always been about the reintroduction (on the dance floor or through the speakers) of those dark fathoms in which we find ourselves lost at Sea, yes, in the grasp of those wildly uncontrollable waves called life. 

For indebraendt electronic music is the act of dancing with and rising upon these waves - as if one was in tune with some otherworldly electrical current. 

It is a reintroduction of these darker energies in purified form, though - like washing away the darkness from the stars or distilling gold from sand through a sieve somewhere in the mines of Klondike. It’s the function of all expression to make motion sing and emotion dance - and, in the case of electronic music, to enchant that which is not human with the humane.

Veryl East is a DJ based in Zurich. He plays emotionally textured trance and ambient, drawing inspiration from the contemporary Scandinavian scene and past Parisian nights alike. While helping to carve out a niche for Nordic trance in Switzerland, he has also appeared in mix series and line-ups across Europe and beyond.
