The ongoing collaboration between D.J. MacIntyre and Nomas continues to bear fruit, this time in the release of 'Elysium' which includes three excellent remixes.  The original mix is thundering and dramatic, replete with a driving low end, and explosive climax.  Eminently respected Greek producer Basil O'Glue spins the track into a hypnotic powerhouse in his first appearance on SLC-6 Music.  Astral Base's label debut is a tough, groovy, and futuristic remix.  Doriaan takes 'Elysium' to dreamier territory putting his distinctive stylistic stamp on the track in another gem for SLC-6.

Part of the exceptional seasonal warmer that was "Winter Particles 2015", the prolific pairing of LoQuai and Ewan Rill delivered a delicious slice of progressive house with the aptly named "Beat Meditation". Now returning to Particles with its own remix EP, Russian and Polish talents return to the original with two new interpretations. Newcomer to underground dance music fraternity, Russian artist, Artem Kalalb, has been an instant success with his "passion for the dark side and the beauty of melodies". Bursting onto the scene with the pulsating "Wandering Ghost" on the "Spring Particles 2015" compilation, the five-track "Sunord" EP quickly followed in July 2015. Building on the sound and success of that initial release, a further quartet of inspired works demonstrated Kalalb's production talent based on the simple premise that music has "no limits" and a deep-rooted passion that "underground music is my heart." Remixing LoQuai and Ewan Rill, Artem Kalalb has created a hypnotic masterpiece that takes the central riff from "Beat Meditation", bringing it to the fore and using it as a centre point from which a collage of counterpoint melodies fire in different directions. Intelligent in execution, a shuffling open hi-hat rhythm strikes a further dynamic chord while an effortless pad washes over in a glorious backdrop to create a superb rework. Polish duo, Deep Fog and Cream have been a production pairing since their 2014 debut for Revelation Records. Before then Chris Kotlinski in his solo Deep Fog guise, found considerable success through his work for such celebrated imprints as Stellar Fountain, OLD SQL and a swathe of releases for Mistique Music. A DJ with a long history of success in his home country, Deep Fog has found himself with a host of residencies in clubs such as Chilli and Reno through DJ performances in his native Poland. March 2013 saw the "Terminal" show hit the airwaves of Proton Radio while his debut release with Cream – also a well-respected and hard-working DJ throughout his Polish homeland – saw two original tracks feature on the "Summer Particles 2014" album. The Deep Fog and Cream pairing have since become regular contributors to the Particles catalogues, first with the full release of "Kiki" including remixes from Anthony Yarranton and Noraj Cue and second, with August 2015's "Neverland" EP which saw an exciting blend of acoustic drums combined with clever instrumentation and organic sound. Full of chunky, staccato rhythms, the Deep Fog and Cream remix of "Beat Meditation" revolves around a central arpeggio melody that shines above rich, breathy pads. A clever reinterpretation of LoQuai and Rill's melodic flow follows, surrounded by a plethora of additional production material in a remix that is full of emotion and dynamic dance floor energy. As Artem Kalalb and Deep Fog and Cream reveal effortless mesmerising flow, there is plenty of scope for further "Beat Meditation" as LoQuai and Ewan Rill continue to hypnotise.

LoQuai & Ewan Rill - Beat Meditation (Artem Kalalb remix)[Particles]

Making his debut on our 238W imprint with his brand new single ‘Stolen Moon', Russian born producer Artem Kalalb brings it together for an extraordinary release that shows a startling amount of potential. With Artem applying an extra dose of groove and warmth to this incredible tune. 'Stolen Moon' stands for a foolproof and state-of-the-art piece of music, which will readily make you, take note and amaze in equal measures. 

On remix duty we have Australian based Desaturate, famed for his Progress Inn moniker, whose interpretation sounds mature, effortless, and full of subtle nuance. Never one to be bound by any particular style or genre, this is him taking a deeper route. Desaturate delivers a bittersweet, quality fuelled, melancholic rework that still manages to get your toe tapping with each downbeat. Epic stuff!

Not too long ago, N'Pot's brand new tune Selcouth was widely received with awe and acclaim which made us sit up and take notice. This time around he delivers the goods with his rework of Stolen Moon by presenting his impeccable version of the laudable original. Staying true to the original, N'Pot presents his smashing remix, ensuring a tune of the highest quality. Further cementing his reputation as one of the rising stars coming out of Argentina.

Part of the quintet of tracks that comprised the "Sunord" EP in July 2015, Russian producer, Artem Kalalb, displayed a slice of melodic sunshine to critical acclaim. Now, an integral part of that EP is given its own full release as "Limb" receives remixes a Hungarian master and Argentinean flair.

A man responsible for defining a sound, Gabor Kovacs, through his Aeron Aether alter ego, has been responsible for a plethora of high-profile productions, most notably on the Silk Music imprint, where he made his solo original debut through 2009's "Aeron is Coming" EP. An accomplished cellist, Aeron Aether's penchant for symphonic elements has been transferred to his immaculate productions giving them a rich and textured sheen that saw trance icon, Matt Darey, name him â€˜breakthrough DJ/producer' in both 2009 and 10. Former head of A&R for successful Silk offshoot, Arrival, his engineering accomplishments for the entire Silk Music output offered a polished layer to the label's output.

His work, supported from the great and good of the music industry including Marcus Schossow, Jaytech and Richard Durand, Aeron Aether's work for Proton Music has included standout reworkings of Andre Sobota and Mango, while a quartet of remixes for Particles is now further augmented by a reinterpretation of Artem Kalalb. Taking his trademark symphonic approach, a rich chorus of melodic layers are blended across a delightful groove and stomping beat. As the track launches post-breakdown, a huge pulsating bass line gives added character to an innovative, storming rework of "Limb".

Argentinean, Juan Astudillo, is a man with an impressive production pedigree to his name, witnessed by a debut release in the shape of the full-length album "Don't Make Me Destroy You" for Bellarine Recordings in 2008. A tour de force through the underground progressive house scene, Astudillo put down a marker for subsequent production material that would take shape over the course of an active 2015. A clutch of original productions for the likes of Lowbit, MNL and Mistique Music have seen the "Amenhecer", "Kanikoom" and "Cuepoint" EPs receive celebrated support from Hernan Cattaneo, Sonic Union and East CafÃ©.

Now making his Particles debut, the Juan Astudillo remix of "Limb" sees an evocative offering resonate with sinister prowess as he takes Kalalb's original elements transporting them into a work of ingenuity and skill. A strong bass line repeats throughout while percussive house rhythms and a deliciously plucked arpeggio line combine to intelligent effect and seething dance floor prowess.

Artem Kalab is certainly not out on a "Limb" with a pair of new remixes from Aeron Aether and Juan Astudillo.

For our last release of 2017 we welcome back Artem Kalalb to ICONYC with his brand new single ‘Satellites’. With his long-awaited return to the label, Artem delivers a slice of beautiful winter vibes titled ‘Satellites’. The track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through moody inspired melodies and the deep grooves, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. 

Emi Galvan, famed for his intricate and refined production delivers a cool deeper take while adding his own vocals to give the track a truly unique feel. His rework creates tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up is Zed White, known for his polished sound, who keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Last but not least we have the Dub version of Emi’s brilliant vocal mix. It's all about the groove, silky house vibes and the melancholic beats that are working their magic around Emi’s wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. A truly beautiful cultivated rework. 

All the ingredients are there for another instant ICONYC classic and a fitting way to close out a wonderful year on ICONYC in style. Artem Kalab’s 'Satellites' sees a worldwide release on December 18th, 207. Don't miss out on this marvellous release.
