Dedicated to the life and work of Robert Lax (1915-2000), the American poet who lived on Patmos, Greece, as a self-exiled hermit since the sixties. Jack Kerouac called Lax “one of the great original voices of our times, a Pilgrim in search of beautiful innocence”. The Chi Factory would like to give special thanks to his good Patmian friends Ulf Knaus and Nikos Eliou, who showed us his house on Patmos (everything is still the same since he left) and also his favourite old wooden door (see leaflet). His great minimalistic poetry became a source of inspiration for the Mantra Recordings. His life on Patmos was far away from public attention - quiet and always surrounded by the skies, seas, cats and birds. Lax was a real dreamcatcher.

In the evergreen forests, along with the interwoven paths of the Indians, among the Ancient Pyramids surrounded by Amazonian spirals, our lone pilgrim is steadily overcoming challenges he faces along the way. Stripping away all illusions, he reaches an even deeper level of introspection. 

On his path illuminated by the mystical knowledge from the otherworldly dimensions, our pilgrim wonders about his higher purpose. With this in mind, he reaches his destination. Here, all possible and impossible are tightly knitted together, creating kaleidoscopic patterns ... What a sacred place ...

Images of animals, people, stars and distant planets performing the dance of life appear before his eyes ...

Where is he going to go now? Which direction to follow? Is he going to go right? Left? Go up or perhaps, all the way down?

He closes his eyes ... Deep inhale followed by slow exhale ... Doors of perception open up slowly. Gentle lull of solitary meditation reveals a clue that puts everything in place :

- “It's not so much about the direction, but why you stick to it” ...

The moment his eyes gently blink open ... He chooses love ...

Hey fellow, today here's a new trip from Brussels's talent Salah.

Salah is an artist, producer and live performer based in Brussels. His first release was published by @aardenrecords, from Ghent, in 2019. This four-track EP is about exploring the hypnotic side of techno with a groovy sound and cultural influences, originating from his middle eastern roots.

"This is the way for me, on this podcast, to show what my vision of
ambient music is. With the desire to mix with various contents, to give
good energy for a relaxing and a meditative feeling."

The picture was taken by himself at Ischia, an island in the napolitan Bay, with a special analog film that give that beautiful and different nuances of blue.

Stellar Series Episode 48 - Salah (Botanic Garden)

The Stellar Transitions adventure started three years ago, with the beginning of the "Stellar Series" podcast channel, dedicated to the exploration of ambient, drone and experimental music related to the hypnotic techno scene. Now as there's almost 50 episodes on the channel, it's time to unveil the second part of the adventure. Here is the very first release of the Stellar Transitions music label.

This is the first chapter of a new serie of V.A. releases with tracks from artists that have already contributed to the podcast channel in the past. You have to know, Stellar Transitions is a project about light - this serie will tell the spiritual story of the light through a 24-hour earth day.

The first track, from french Martin Goodwin, is a solar track that evolves between distant noise, organic drones and a big work on the textures.
The second, from french Adhémar, is a 10 minutes meditative ambient track that inspire to an exploration on the deeper side of your inner self. Close your eyes.
With the third from another french as Vâyu, the first light of the day starts to appear. The beautiful synth pads, the sparkling percs and the moving bassline leads you to a transcendental journey.
The fourth and last is from serbian Zhe Pechorin, and its name, "On My Way to Home", sounds like an evidence at the listening : this emotive, soothing ambient track is the accurate soundtrack to the end of a long night, at the moment where you see the first sunbeams on the way back to home. A beautiful epilogue to the journey.

Now, the dawn breaks.

Once, I noticed that I was surrounded by portals ... It's so amazing because of familiar things and even sensations: doors, tracks, melodies, rhythms, moods, colors, feelings, smells, thoughts - all these moves to different states, memories, and spaces...Along with this spontaneous insight, the understanding also came that I can use these observations of mine absolutely at any time...But, according to the classical scheme, in practice it turned out that not everything is so simple and to move you need to listen, watch, touch something for real - giving yourself completely...

When I began to practice my jumps into the unknown, it turned out that the most difficult thing is not to look back...After all, at some moments fear comes, which whispers in my ear, various doubts, all in order to knock off from the intended path...The usual paradigm ceases to exist and new energies make their own adjustments, sometimes, destroying the veil before our eyes, and everything appears in its true light...Having coped with the mind and the experiences coming from the outside, you might think that everything, now, for sure, no one will interfere with receiving true pleasure...Well, here the second test is hiding - habit...

Indeed, in human nature, the skill of adapting to almost any conditions is so highly developed, adding them to the daily routine...Therefore, it is very easy to get used to portals and that with their help, depending on the mood, you can change the reality...
The trap lies in the fact that the more often we walk along the same paths, the less we have a true feeling, therefore, we must try to find some previously unperceived details even where they can no longer be by definition, but better is trying to see new ways...

At the moment of these thoughts, I created this entry as a kind of chain of doors with new experiences...
