Vincentiulian - Subbass EP

Vincentiulian is the kind of name that needs no introduction. He is one of the best-known DJs and producers from the famous Romanian scene, and his evolution throughout the years tells its own story. He has played alongside the biggest names in the industry, shared the decks with household DJs like Priku, Rhadoo, or Cezar, and played the most important festivals out there.

His Subbass EP on Vivus Records cements his aura even more as a wonderful producer.

The opening track, Works, kicks things off wonderfully and subtly. It’s certainly a perfect track for the warm-up moments in the club, but its intricate background noises add a lovely layer of complexity as the track goes on.

Then we head off in a different direction: At Chalet is a much stronger track with an imposing bassline that dominates the sound and perfectly complements the mysterious vocals.

The titular track, Subbass, has a natural futuristic vibe and feels like a ready-made club banger. The spacey atmosphere is something that only adds charm to it. The Tobias Laun Remix is a more chill but equally powerful way to end this mesmerizing EP, with Tobias showing his prowess at adjusting the pace just at the right rhythm for the dancefloor. The strong bass complements superbly with the sublime background noises to make this the perfect last chapter.

B1. Vincentiulian - Subbass

Pynewood is back on SEHR with a new minimal house release that will make you dance all night long. The original tracks feature catchy bass lines and smooth melodies. The release also includes two remixes by Bee Lincoln and Masupilami, who add their own flavors to the tracks. Bee Lincoln’s remix takes Inspire to new heights with a faster tempo a more complex drum pattern. Masupilami’s remix sends you on wild flights with a more atmospheric approach. Whether you prefer the original or the remixes, this release is a must-have for any minimal house lover.

On this compilation, Portuguese producer C4STRO folds Brazilian classics into the language of contemporary club culture. Drawing from icons like Jorge Ben Jor, Marisa Monte, Rita Lee, Seu Jorge and Toco, the Lisbon-based artist reimagines MPB, samba-rock and bossa nova through deep, groove-led frameworks that feel equally at home on the terrace at dusk or deep in the after-hours.

These aren’t maximalist flips—they’re subtle acts of translation. C4STRO lets the emotional weight of the originals breathe while stitching them into a pulse-driven continuum. Jorge Ben Jor’s Magnólia gains a hypnotic low-end shuffle; Rita Lee’s Cobra slithers with funk and bite; Seu Jorge’s Sábado à Noite drifts like a late summer breeze. With Ramirezz, Marisa Monte’s Eu Sei becomes almost spectral, her vocal suspended in dubby atmospherics. Closing on Toco’s Meu Rio, the compilation dissolves into sun-washed celebration, tying Lisbon’s Atlantic perspective back to Rio’s coastline.

What makes the record stand out is its restraint. Rather than forcing Brazilian music into a rigid club template, C4STRO allows for softness, space and saudade. It’s a reminder that remix culture isn’t only about energy—it’s about dialogue. In the crosscurrent between Lisbon and Brazil, these tracks find new resonance, carving out a space that is as much about memory as it is about movement.
