ALGOL continues its journey delivering monthly mindblowing edits, this time with a reinterpretation of M.I.A.'s classic acapella.

AVGVSTVS is a dj, music producer and one of ALGOL co creators who brings the electronic face of our label. Bucky Done Gun also is a picture of the flourishing club culture in Brazil - and it's made to hit right in the spot in a peak-time club.

The producer mixes house, trance and miami bass with an original instrumental track, making the classic flow of the legendary MC an unique acid broken beat - perfect for mixtapes that travel through multiple music genres.

This years´ summer festival season is slowly ending, now it´s time to look back its best moments. One of my most memorable DJ sets this summer was at @Garbicz festival in Poland. With its various stages, Garbicz usually features a very techno and four to the floor focused sound for a heavily lovved up audience. This year however, the festival´s coolest stage - @JuicyBar - invited me to DJ and present a tropical bass panoramic sound. The feedback was huge! I never saw so many people twerk their asses off right in my DJ booth. 

Since a lot of people were asking, I finally managed to get a recording of my DJ set, which half way captures the mayhem that ensued at Juicy Bar!

this is my set for the second edition of Baleárica, and woah that was INTENSE! since the party evokes some disco flavors, and this edition was called verano fatale, i decided to go and have my interpretation of those summer madness with some mashups, loops, and samples to summon that discoish vibe with some italo disco, some remixed classics, a cassius oldie banger, but went on adding my new research on indie dance, house, downtempo, some turkish disco i love, and the nonstop layer of percussions and kick samples to fill the room with energy. the floor was lit and i sure had an amazing time during this gig!

ZZK Presents ZZK Mixtape Vol 36 - Cruzloma

Influenced by the Dub revolution of the 70s in Jamaica, Cruzloma reinterprets Ecuadorian music and transports it to that context using production techniques that evoke the pioneers of this style. They make heavy use of effects such as Tape Echo and Spring Reverb to create atmospheres and soundscapes, evoking forgotten spaces in time.
