A year of discoveries. Thinking back through the last year, there has been a plethora of fantastic labels, and artists that have passed under the Sundays banner. This Sunday and month in general also marks the second year of monthly playlists, and guest mixes. The latter of which is our focus for today as we welcome an incredible producer, Inhmost. From beat to beat-less, his refined approach to crafting ambient mixes provides listeners with auditory tales that flow so well, all while working in a variety of moods and feelings. This mix provides in spades, as such we’re incredibly happy to soundtrack this Sunday morning with Inhmost.

This is the 116th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. These monthly released sessions brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This month  Synthbiont is back with a brand new set  called: Dream or Perception?

This set was recorded live during an ambient sleeping night in a church reconverted into an art atelier in the countryside nearby Groningen. Ethereal and atmospheric sounds, deep dark drones, organic field recordings, and processed samples from the iconic movie Waking Life compose this music trip dedicated to the experience of dreaming. The idea behind the mix was to recreate a oneiric soundscape in which the listener can reflect and explore the conscious/unconscious state of mind, guiding her/him through an emotional and suggestive sonic journey. Music from @abul-mogard, Simone Giud, @simonegatto_qui_ed_ora, @astralindustries, @cryochamberlabel, Silentes/13, and many others.

Synthbiont is Nicoló Faggiani (@__vinylkite__), an Italian DJ and vinyl lover with a deep passion for ambient music living in Groningen, the Netherlands. Together with @tommasogobbo, he founded the ambient project @synthbiont_anassimandrus in early 2019, releasing music for renowned ambient labels and podcast series such as Secuencias Temporales, Deep Electronics, Silent Season, and many others.

A DJ set recorded on October 13 at the Nou:shh (@noushh-26120238) event at OSD Berlin, a space designed for the cultivation of deep listening. Nou:shh offered meditative and nourishing sessions with tranquil DJ sets. Curated by Sarah Wreath and Sheila Abell.

Naturally active person, in 2014, Nathalia (@nathaliapetkova) founded Experiment Intrinsic (@experimentintrinsic) – a hidden art dimension organically blended with the visual and musical imagination. A pivotal change, in which she pursued a path of deeper self inquiry and progression of sound, shifted her from the electronic dance-floor oriented music and into ambient soundscapes. Her influences drew increasingly from experimental electronic, as well as traditional and spiritual genres. The following years were dedicated as developing the project into a dynamic and constantly evolving audio-visual platform.

~ About The Story ~

Everybody has a little bit of the sun and moon in them. Everybody has a little bit of man, woman, and animal in them. Darks and lights in them. Everyone is part of a connected cosmic system. Part earth and sea, wind and fire, with some salt and dust swimming in them. We have a universe within ourselves that mimics the universe outside. None of us are just black or white, or never wrong and always right. No one. No one exists without polarities. Everybody has good and bad forces working with them, against them, and within them.

"This mix was inspired by my friends, the people I am most closely connected to. I wanted to create something calm and beautiful, to offer some brief respite and escape. I might compile a tracklist at some point, but for now please just disconnect, zone out, and enjoy the mix. It was recorded in one take at home in Tokyo, October 2016. As with all of my ‘Reflection’ year-end mixes, I start with a long list of albums I have enjoyed over the year. Often hundreds. Through the process of putting a mix together that flows well, the songs are whittled down and selected from each album. Hello dear people. Today, here's the last episode 2019  - this was a gorgeous journey, thank you so much to everyone involved in the project and to the people who believe in it ! Following that, I think it's time to take a short break with the podcast channel to be focused on another excited projects that I really can't wait to share with you. 

Now, let's welcome FBQ with a meditative trip underneath the stars.

Belgium based FBQ blends organic and electronic elements into multipurpose techno, tinged with deep and head-nodding ambient.
His singular and intimate ideas about music brought him a residency at club Ampere and several appearances in Berlin, Amsterdam and Tokyo. At times a bit dark, at times relaxing light and driving, but always a fluent journey.
The podcast was recorded live at Ampere Open Air on August 25th 2019 using a modular setup, FM synth and some effect pedals.

The picture was taken by himself in Japan, 2014, "where i got to appreciate and feel ambient downtempo music for the first time at Labyrinth".

As with all past ‘Reflection’ year-end mixes, I start with a collection of albums I have enjoyed over the year. Through the process of compiling a mix that flows well, songs are whittled down and selected from this collection.
