We give a warm welcome to Sydney-based artist Trinity, taking center stage in our 323rd episode.

Trinity is a Sydney-based DJ, producer, and performer with over 20 years of experience in the music industry. Trinity has earned the respect and love of fans, dancers and peers from Sydney to Berlin — and many destinations in between. Her abundant and diverse talents, her famous work ethic, and her uncompromising musical vision have made her a force to be reckoned with in the world of techno.
Trinity was billed alongside Richie Hawtin at the Vivid Sydney festival at Sydney Opera House; headlined Sydney’s world-famous Mardi Gras celebration; and has played at Tresor, Tomorrowland and many other clubs and festivals across Europe. Other stops on her musical travels have included New Zealand, India and Amsterdam’s famed Red Light Radio.
Each of Trinity’s live shows is marked by her unique versatility: from deep dub-techno, acid and electro to peaktime techno — all combining for a distinct and moving soundscape. Trinity is also one-half of boundary-breaking live act Phax Machine (along with partner Analogue Resistance), with the duo focusing especially on tougher breakbeat and classic rave sounds. 
Trinity’s recorded output includes collaborations with Luke Hess, Eric Cloutier, Headless Horseman and XDB, with her releases making their way into some of the best record shops in the world including Berlin’s Hard Wax. Trinity also runs A&R for Australian techno label Nightime Drama.

It's Sunday, and September's full moon is on an eclipse. 
Still feeling the hangover from what was an epic night with Muzan editions. Friends, great music, and energy through the roof. No wonder why we had to continue the night together elsewhere. 
And yet, I feel an influx of energy to combat the headache. So here comes episode 62nd of Selene Series. 

The moment is asking for hazy beats. Think atmospheric breakbeat, illbient, dubbed out breaks. Yes, some sloppy mixing. But hey, it was a bit challenging this time. From slow downtempo to 120 territory to 160 drum and bass/jungle. What matters is that this selection comes from the soul. Exactly how and what I feel in this precise moment. A great snapshot of what a foggy Sunday requires, musically, at least for me. My version of hangover music for you.

Human Lessons #114 - Glisten

As summer's warmth dissolves into the autumn breeze and the silence of shorter days descends, we're honored to welcome BLNDR to the series, sharing a mix that's a sonic companion for the season's transition.

BLNDR is a French electronic music producer based in Paris.
Deep beats, percussions, and atmospheric elements have always been central to his sound. He took his first steps into electronic music with the release of his debut EP on Hypnus Records in 2014.

To celebrate the arrival of autumn, we're thrilled to introduce the new Deep Breakfast mix by Skander Jaïbi - a warm and comforting soundscape perfect for the season's crisp mornings and cozy afternoons. Let the sounds be your soundtrack to the first weekend of fall.

Skander Jaïbi is a Tunisian and Dutch composer, audiovisual artist, curator, and science educator. He holds a Masters degree in the philosophy of physics is one of the founders of Uncloud festival. His medium of choice is often sound. His works range from a strong focus on the use of field recordings and archival material to creating compositions that may or may not integrate such recordings.

About the mix he said:
"This sonic journey meanders between music with voice as a central element, heavily layered ambient worlds, and more direct compositions that feel otherworldly. A big part of the selection comes from albums I've been listening to often and attentively this year. By curating tracks in an almost radio-style fashion, I've tried to create a journey that lets each piece shine in its own right. It opens and closes with two tracks from my debut album, released this year on Uncloud Editions."

Today’s Deep Mind Music entry is a trip through the depths of the earth from Shoal 🌘🌙

Listening to this set I was transported into another realm of being, taken by the hand through the mists of time, into the molten core of the earth. A transmission from the collective unconsciousness of mankind, sinking into the faded memories of our ancestors. Megalithic drones contrast with intricate moments of delicate celestial harmony, as iridescent shimmers of light glint into a shadowed cave. As the mix concludes, we softly re-emerge, floating on a blanket of rainbow-hued clouds ✨🤍

This mix is a live set made entirely of music composed by Shoal, formed from a series of recordings. It features field recordings captured in Japan, as well as a jam session with flute (Urosh), contrabass (Julian Tjon Sack Kie), and sound exploring a tam-tam gong, all collaged together. Thank you Shoal for this moving and evocative journey taking listeners through the primordial beyond 🌌💠🌀

Once again, we journey through a deep state of lucid dreaming with this mind-altering live recording from a true legend — multidisciplinary artist Javier Marimon, whose philosophical approach to his craft continues to inspire us across so many facets of life.

"For each live set, I try to prepare a selection of new or reworked tracks that fit the occasion. The invitation to Lucid Dreams was a chance to revisit a time when I used to explore more intimate music—avoiding obvious beats as a reaction to the big city around me, a direction I had gradually moved away from over the years.

Lately, even the depth of nature and silence hasn’t inspired that ‘ambient’ side of me. Instead, it’s given rise to a foggy, beat-heavy aesthetic—full of bass and speed—which I’m still having fun trying to decode.

This time, though, I had the opportunity to merge the last few years into a kind of dream-state sound exploration—like drifting off to sleep while watching a movie or listening to people talk around you. That’s the feeling at the start of this recording, captured live at Espacio Perpendicular using an SP-404MKII, a 1010 Lemondrop, and a multi-stomp pedal.

I imagined deep silence and invisible, horizontal friends as the abstract audience I was playing for. It made me feel like I was in my own room, just playing like any other day. It’s always special to perform in this space."

Various Artists - Our Ambient Collection III | SRCD08

James Bernard’s live recording, ‘Atwater’ demonstrated the potential beauty to emerge from the simplicity and gentle manipulation of modular synthesizers. Such a raw moment captured that day, packed full of melody and escapism, presented a perfect opportunity to invite some of our favorite musicians to remix the original material recorded in North Atwater Park.

The remix lineup was purposefully selected to highlight electronica and a genre that grew from the manipulation of the synthesizer - a new toy for many bedroom producers, that grew in commercial success and helped define a new sound in the late 90’s and early 00’s. With this in mind, we invited six producers who go some way in reflecting this approach over the years, with James Bernard’s original synthesizer recordings providing the basis of each experiment. 

Arovane opens the release, with a sweet and sharp electronic punch, followed by Christian Kleine’s guitar-hook driven take, who as many will know, were two crucial producers that helped place electronica on the map through their releases on City Centre Offices. Alongside Uwe and Christian, also representing the early pioneering years of the sound and housed by the seminal label, Warp over the years; B12’s Mike Golding, who takes James Bernard's sound to the limit across 9 minutes of additional modular manipulation.

Joining them, are three producers taking the electronica sound in new directions in recent years. James Clements, known to many under his own name or as ASC, guides us into the relatively unheard realm of his electronica-inspired Comit alias, combining the energy of his drum’n bass-led releases with the nostalgia and escapism heard amongst his ambient works. Bluetech, producing since the late 90’s and known for many approaches from psychedelic to downtempo, turns in an inspired, glistening take on the original, unearthing even more melodic moments. And lastly, Milieu, a firm favorite of ASIP's for many years now, uses nothing but the source material, to create a chugging and serene take on the original, closing out the Atwater remixes.
