On this week’s Sync Report we interview Rose Ganguzza, a New York City based producer, with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She specializes in independent films, which she takes from the initial phases to packaging through production. In 2014 she founded Rose Pictures LLC a production company specializing in independent film and long and short form television.

Ms. Ganguzza is known worldwide for movies such as Kill Your Darlings (2013), The Words (2012), Margin Call (2011), New York, I Love You (2008). Thanks to her work, she recently received the title of "Godmother of NY Independent film" by the Herald de Paris. With her work, she fosters productions and talent within New York City

Many of Ganguzza's films have been made by first-time filmmakers, including 'Afterschool' (Antonio Campos), 'Kill Your Darlings' (John Krokidas), 'Margin Call' (J.C. Chandor) and 'The Guitar' (Amy Redford).

Ganguzza's other films include 'The Romantics'; and 'Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You'. More recently she produced the period drama 'The Chaperone' with PBS, written by Julian Fellowes; 'Poms' with STX, a comedy starring Diane Keaton and Jacki Weaver, and 'Fatima', with Sonia Braga and Harvey Keitel, distributed by Picturehouse.

Ganguzza has also produced or executive produced a number of documentaries, including 'Blue Gold: American Jeans', 'Trashed' and 'New York at the Movies'. She is in pre-production on the feature films 'It Never Entered My Mind', to be directed by Claire Van Kampen, 'Mary's Monster', with Coky Giedroyc, 'Roman Nights', about Italian actress Anna Magnani and American playwright Tennessee Williams, and the psychological thriller 'Ever There'. She is also co-producing a TV series about the only British superhero, 'Jack Staff', for Sony Television.

Ganguzza is extensively experienced in the global market and has carried out numerous co-productions, structuring film and television deals throughout Europe, South America and Asia
