BlackGummy is the creation of Los Angeles-based producer Iman Marouf, who
discovered the mysterious entity known as BlackGummy during a transformative
journey in 2013. This encounter sparked a unique fusion of identities, driving
BlackGummy’s obsessive quest for mastery in sound design and music production. Under the mentorship of renowned producer Steve Duda, Iman also contributed to the development of the legendary synthesizer Serum, adding to his growing reputation for forward-thinking sound design and music production.

In 2015, mau5trap quickly recognized BlackGummy’s unique prowess and released his first original track, “Lullaby,” followed by the critically acclaimed Singularity EP in 2016. This release set the tone for BlackGummy’s dark, cinematic sound and led to a trilogy of EPs — including Impactor and Monolith — each exploring profound themes and earning praise from industry giants.

Following his own headline tour and standout performances at festivals such as EDC Las Vegas, EDC Mexico, EDC Guangdong, Lollapalooza, BUKU Music + Art Project, and Shambhala — among many others — BlackGummy continues to push the boundaries of electronic music.

Now, after completing his trilogy, BlackGummy stepped back to create his most
ambitious body of work yet — a project larger in scope than all three EPs combined, and his most expansive concept to date. This new era launched with a headline show at Sound for the We Are Friends event and a direct support slot for deadmau5 in London. Entering a new chapter, BlackGummy is preparing to unveil his long-awaited debut album, set to begin rolling out on mau5trap starting August 22, 2025, with the full release arriving later this year.

Washington-born, Kate Ellwanger is behind forward-thinking producer dot who has made an indelible mark on the electronic scene. Her skills have also landed her scoring opportunities for TV, films and commercials for the likes of Nike, MTV, Laura Mercier and more.

Committed to amplifying underrepresented voices in music, dot heads up her own womxn-focused label Unspeakable Records that has given many female identifying artists their first release on the scene. This has earned her a spot on the voting committee for the Recording Academy as well as a contributing role with Music Cares, and most recently led her into the Web3 space, becoming a top-selling artist on platforms like Catalog and Sound.xyz., all while laying down her unique sounds at epic events like EDC Las Vegas, Red Rocks and HARD Summer while sharing the spotlight with renowned artists such as Diplo, Madeon, RL GRIME, and Louis The Child to only mention a few.

Her biggest mission is to combine the worlds of music with action sports, the outdoors and ski culture with music culture and events. dot has spent over 15 years studying mindfulness practices from multiple traditions, including yoga, meditation, and breath work. Her dedication to constantly pushing herself has seen her become a triathlete and ultra marathon runner, also competing in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2022.

Premiere: White Sheep - MOVE (Mahony Remix) [SCI+TEC]

This week on Drumcode Live we have a live mix from Adam Beyer recorded at Tomorrowland in Belgium.

We had 2 tracks released by BUSH records in 1998. We have started to make "some noise" again.

Tracks: Chencha 1/2/3 and 4 originate from a live band, recorded in a music studio in Santiago, Cuba on 24 tracks.
We worked with this master recording and were asked to remix some tracks.
A lot of the sounds/vocals are authentic.
(a lot of work to fit in, but what a challenge)
Each of our tracks has 3 different parts.
They are difficult to categorize.

Who knows a suitable label for publishing these tracks?
50% of the revenue goes to the band in Cuba, so they can buy new instruments or make recordings in a studio etc.

Track: Untitl-ED 2 is with DJ Maded from Switzerland.
Little meremaid 1 and 2
wants to be played on VINYL (nice label?)
