The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Arude for his first appearance. As a fixture of the electronic underground for the better part of a decade, Ukrainian artist Arude is perhaps best known for his twenty-plus appearances on long-standing Berlin imprint Steyoyoke. It was this creative swell which set the stage for more recent projects via Beatfreak, Eklektisch, Radikon and Renaissance, all of which have been ideal landing spots for his elusive sound. An in-demand remixer for sometime, it was earlier this year that Arude took to re-interpreting ‘The Sound of Violence’ by French electro duo Cassius. Originally released in 2002 via Virgin Records and highlighted by vocals from Steve Edwards, the dancefloor anthem has the distinction of being the duo’s only track to reach #1 in the hugely influential Billboard Music Charts. We’re happy to offer his take on this timeless anthem as a free download. Enjoy.

Landing in May and supported by a wide range of electronic music trendsetters, the double a-side release found the Beirut resident crafting two tracks rich in spirit and allusion. Also gaining considerable playtime amongst the world’s elite DJs this year has been ASTRØ’s take on ‘Leave the World Behind’ by Swedish House Mafia. The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Adam Sellouk and Matan Tamal with their take on ‘Rumble’ by Skrillex, Fred again & Flowdan. Hailing from Israel, Adam Sellouk first emerged in 2021 with a contribution to Steyoyoke’s Paradigm collection. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, Adam quickly caught the attention of world class DJ Miss Monique, who signed him to her Siona Records imprint for a two-track showcase later that same year. 2022 would see further successes for Adam, with Nora En Pure’s Purified imprint being the landing spot for ‘Mirage’, a well received production which saw play from Agents of Time, Innellea, Kevin de Vries and Mathame. Meanwhile, fellow countryman Matan Tamal has enjoyed similar success since his debut on Steyoyoke in 2021. Over the next two calendar years the Petah Tikva resident would record projects for Awen Tales, Duenia and Lowbit Records. Having previously collaborated on ‘Polar’, a track which was released via Awen Tales last year, Adam and Matan decided to work on a club effective version of ‘Rumble’ by Skrillex, Fred Again & Flowdan. Released as part of Skrillex’s 2023 album ‘Quest for Fire’, the dubstep/grime fusion proved to be one of the album’s most popular tracks, racking up close to one hundred million streams across a six month stretch. As a much requested track in the sets of Argy, Innellea, 8kays, Human Rias recent sets, we’re happy to offer their bootleg version as a free download. Enjoy
