Kacpa is an artist and promoter from Wroclaw. For nearly a decade, he has been active as a DJ, initially associated with the hip-hop scene. After some time, he switched scratching for electronic music. With his first collective Fly or Die, he developed as a promoter organizing raves in forgotten Wrocław spaces.

He is founder and artistic director of the Ciało club and summer place Podróż. His promotional activities includes also HeartBeats agency and Silberberg Festival.

Michał Zakrzewski aka DYYU∩E is a DJ, producer, record collector and radio host (WYYDMA vinyl only radio show for Radio Luz) from Wrocław in Poland. With a few vinyl releases under his belt (solo tracks and edits for The Very Polish Cut Outs and with Boryn as Astro Buhloone for Astropical Tapes) he is crate digger looking for unexpected sounds from all around the world. His selection for Radio Electronica Jena is focused on records from Germany - mostly sung in German language and done by German artists or recorded there (or both). DYYU∩E is closely affiliated with The Very Polish Cut Outs label, making edits, remixes and playing dj sets on the label parties. His debut album for TVPCO is coming soon and should be out late 2021/early 2022.

Patryk Niedziela - This 31 year-old dj/producer from Gdynia (PL)
The discovery of the club scene in 2012.
Incredible ear and talent for melody. He presents a high level when it
comes to productions, but also performs bravely behind the dj.
Graduate of Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp 2013. Invented in the
clouds of soundcloud by Lineout.pl blog.
Initially closely associated with the "future garage" scene, revolving
around musical themes close to artists such as James Blake or Mount
Kimbie, he quickly discovered in himself a passion for electronic
house and techno music. He was noticed by Vice magazine, among others,
and received many warm words from Polish club giants such as Catz n
Dogz and Viadrina.
He has worked with brands such as reebok, flirtini or Radio Czwórka
Polish radio. In 2012 he took 5th place in Munoludy contest in
"discovery of the year" category. In recent years, he has played with
many respected artists at polish festivals such as Open'er, Free form
and Selector.

Dengue (Peru), DJ Katapila (Ghana), Lua Preta, Lutto Lento, Universo and

After the unbridled success that was "Volkwein", Super Flu's collaboration with The Dortmund Philharmonic, the always on point Monberry label now revisits the package with the help of some fine contemporary remixers, namely Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Monkey Safari and Bebetta.

Super Flu, aka Herzblut Recordings regulars and German pair Felix Thielemann & Mathias Schwarz, really conjured up some magic with the original so these remixes, which reinterpret in fine style, are more than welcome.

First up are Kollektiv Turmstrasse, a rare act that infuse their sound with something more - extra soul, depth and meaning. On their remix of the title track, they go for a trademark deep, brooding and slowly unfolding vibe with subtle synth modulations, buried drums and a rising sense of tension.

The curious and off kilter German duo Monkey Safari are up next. First they rework 'Bratzke' with a sensitive sense of touch. Underlapping, rubbery drums roll below churchy and hymnal chords. Softly spoken vocals add intimacy and you can see this one really making for quite a moment on the right dance floor. Secondly, they serve up a digital bonus remix of the same track that makes less use of the vocal and places plenty of emphasis on their lush arrangement and true sense of musicality.

Lastly we have Bebetta, a playful producer who infuses her music with charming melody and a real sense of personality. She has also recently won the Tresor Newcomer Award for her impressive DJ sets around Berlin. Her version of 'Volkwein' is patient and spacious. Glowing harmonically it soothes mind body and soul with playful patterns and clever use of filters.

This EP is an elegant and magical release that proves house music can be so much more than a physical and functional thing, and can instead stir real emotion when in the right hands.

Super Flu & Dortmunder Philharmoniker - Volkwein (Kollektiv Turmstrasse Remix)

We've run a couple of lovely tracks in recent months from the ever-fantastic International Feel imprint, but having an exclusive from label founder Mark Barrott is a true triumph. Barrott's album Sketches From An Island was one of 2014's very best, so we leapt at the chance to Debut material off his new EP (with gloriously vivid artwork to match). The release, due July 20th, is also somewhat confusingly called Sketches From An Island. But why stop a good thing, eh.
 
"The Mysterious Island Of Dr Nimm" is replete with busy, exotic instrumentation as per, but this time exhibits more of a driving groove than the strung-out pace we're more accustomed to, flourishing slowly into an ecclesiastical beach party. Perhaps the "Garden Of Intrigue And Delight" on last year's LP was sequestered away on this "Mysterious Island"; or perhaps the titular Dr Nimm is prepping for retirement with multiple land holdings in the Balearics? Either which way, it's bliss.

Volume thirteen in the ever-growing Polena catalogue is solely devoted to the spacey boogie sound of Boryn. A beatmaker, cratedigger and DJ based in Wroclaw, Poland, he released some sample-based house jams for Astropical Tapes - both solo and as a part of Astro Buhloone duo. He also laid a few beats for Polish underground hiphop releases. "Jewels EP" fuses both his house and hiphop background into coherent, unique sound.

Boryn casts his magic spell over eight tracks, sounding not too far away from such contemporaries as Dam Funk, Moon B or Sasac. In its essence, "Jewels EP" is a pure modern funk. It is the music to cruise the streets of your favourite holiday resort town or chill on the porch at night. Catchy sample-based vocal tracks (like "Telephone", co-produced by DYYU∩E) are neighbours with summer beach vibe ("New Home Studio" and "Pretty Drunk Bassplayer"). The title track, with its high BPM, strong groove and cosmic atmosphere is also one of the stand-outs on the EP. It's hard to underestimate the wordclass production level. This beautifully crafted sound allures the listener to take yet another cruise with "Jewels EP" on repeat.

Boryn prezentuje 8 utworów, brzmiących nieodlegle od tego, co proponują mu współcześni Dam-Funk, Moon B lub Sasac. Esencja "Jewels EP" to czysty, nowoczesny funk. To muzyka do powolnego krążenia po ulicach ulubionego kurortu albo nocnego relaksu na tarasie.
