Crazy Shit’s magical 7th edition from Eat Static comes to take you on another eclectic journey this April Fools' Day! Tune into the first transmission 1st April Tuesday 8pm CET on the Trance channel.

The forthcoming trance podcast of Merv Pepler aka Eat Static is once again an epic two hours long mix prepared with a wide range of carefully selected crazy tunes from acid techno to psytrance... Eat Static’s recent radiOzora show was prepared during Spring Equinox and amidst of the recording works of the next brand new Eat Static studio album which is to be released this year for the 25th Anniversary of the project.
Crazy Shit #7 is another 'slice n dice' session from Merv Pepler from his LabUFO studio! A pre-festival warm up set just ahead of beaming down to play at many of the world's top psy festivals this coming year. 2014 marks Eat Static's 25th anniversary and there is much anticipation for the new material which has been classified 'Top Secret' and locked away at a secret underground base at an unknown location. No one has been seen going in or out and strange lights have been seen while odd 'Phweeeeping' sounds have also been heard…rumour has it that a journalist broke into the studio one night but was then found dead in a ditch not 5 miles down the road, with a strange mark on his neck...we will update you with any further information if and when we get it...

The first in the row of a series of radiOzora shows called Crazy Shit! was on air on Saturday 1st June at 6pm and Friday 7th June at 11pm on the Trance channel. With this series we are going to show you the most crazy, funky and weird psychedelic dance music we can possibly find with the help of our most respected artists and DJs. Behind the first Crazy Shit! show is UK electronic music pioneer Merv Pepler aka Eat Static, and we couldn't have dreamt of a better upbeat!

Quick after its founding in 1989 the Eat Static project have earned some serious recognition being the UK's very first live techno outfit performing with tons of gadgets and even an own lighting show on stage all around big British music festivals and hardcore raves. The project - originally with two members, Merv and Joie Hinton - always intended to be a live band. Before focusing fulltime on the rave music project both musicians were members of the famous psychedelic space rock band Ozric Tentacles - Merv as a drummer and Joie Hinton as a keyboard player.

While it is a one man project since 2007, Eat Static remained to be one of the few real live acts playing around the world's psychedelic festival stages with the utmost enthusiasm and professionalism. Every Eat Static live show is completely different and you can never guess what to expect next.

For the first Crazy Shit! show the alien-masked genius collected twelve of his psychedelic gems and swirled them together into an ever evolving musical journey of trippy sounds, funky rhythms and unearthly melodies - Eat Static style. This is some crazy shit and there is much more to follow, both from the Crazy Shit! series and from Eat Static on radiOzora! Stay tuned....
