Rising from the darkest recesses of the Irish underground come Astromech. 

A shining beacon of sonic anarchy and rhythmic disorder, prepare to be mesmerisedÖ

Without doubt the hottest live act on the Northern Irish circuit, Astromech have not so much rewritten the rule book as set it on fire and pissed on the embers. 

In the current climate of the seemingly mundane, stagnant output of the dance scene, its time for a collective wake up call, to reminded people why they loved electronica first time around.

A mesmerising plethora of rumbling, percussive soundscapes, twisted electro funk, thumping beats and sparkling synth heavy slabs, it is impossible to pigeonhole the band into any one genre.

Herein lies their beauty.

A 3 piece stage set up of drum pads, live bass and audio-synth manipulation, the live experience is enhanced by interactive visual mixing from on board visuals crew, ëMotion Monkeys.í

With influences ranging from George Clinton through to New Order, Plaid, Tiga and Coldcut, Astromech stand apart from their contemporaries as they set about re- programming the minds of their captives for years to come.

Recent gigs alongside the likes of Coldcut, James Lavelle and Death in Vegas main man Richard Fearless have been accompanied by near structural damage to successive clubs, and rave reviews in the local press.
