Anyway self-promo out the way lemme actually talk about this. This commission was for my good buddy @thedboy! Stellar asked me about music commissions out of no where and I decided to take it on. This was finished in about 3 days and I'm so happy I managed to get it done.
Also really happy I got to compose a thing for Beyond The Stars! BTS is such a cool little project Stellar works on. I don't think there's anything else of it that's public, but y'know.

[COMMISSION] Beyond The Stars - Phantasm

(Sorry for the reuploads, I had to fix a lot of issues with the export again.. last time I swear.)

I was inspired to make this by the scarlet electronic intro from live in london and also kinda crush from p4, since I had a feeling the melodies would go really well with electronic drums and synths. That being said, it was really hard trying to get some of the odd rhythm drum patterns to work with dubstep drums, especially with the spammy snares and kicks, so forgive me if some of the sections, like the ending, are a bit scuffed / messy / offbeat. I had also some challenges trying to balance and mesh the guitars with the synths, trying to make it more electronic leaning but still have the guitars present and audible. I do like how this turned out overall still, though.

The intro is the long version of the intro from the Haunted Shores version.

this ones for every person that inspires me, toby fox included. to reiterate some ideas from bday specil 1/3, i absolutely wouldnt be the person i am today if it werent for the media ive consumed over the course of my life. thru-out my 6+ years of being on this website, and even more than that of just discovering the things i like to do, ive had so many revelatory moments to even count. pride, frustration, envy, burnout, excitement, anticipation. happiness and fulfillment are among my favorites. ive met so many fun and interesting people, near and far, who share the same interests and passions as i do. the idea that i went from humble no one making the worst possible music in a limited phone app to having the opportunity to talk to and work with people i often consider my heroes is nothing short of mind-blowing. i now have ideas and plans both pertaining to and beyond UT and DR. granted, the original ideas id like to put somewhere on the internet one day will be a lot harder to garner an audience for, but at least right now, i have you guys, and the power to do what i love.

and speaking of beyond UT/DR, these days i listen to a whole bunch of stuff! homestuck music, steven universe music, stuff from musicals, showtunes, jazz, etc etc. none of its really mainstream music, but i kinda' like it that way. i like weird stuff. i like to keep things weird. im sure you could gather that from the type of music and art i make :>.

i know the title kinda' has a sense of finality to it, but trust me, im not going anywhere any time soon.
