Our 42nd Astrocast mix comes from another member of the illustrious French experimental collective, Velour. Like Pun Collins and the rest of the imprint, CvD is a sonic wizard, masterfully conjuring up a wide variety of organic and synthetic sounds into beats that shift and sway as they evoke mesmerizing virtual landscapes. Hip-hop is at the heart of the mix, coupled with a warm and textural aesthetic that both Cvd and Velour continue to define.

Youngsta was an influential figure during the nascent days of Dubstep, as well as a key player on Rinsefm for the formative Minimal Mondays helping to direct the sound. Youngsta has had releases on the foundational Tempa, Deep, Dark, and Dangerous his own imprint @sentryrecords. I want to give a huge shoutout to the Liquid Dancehall crew for having me out.
