Swinging back around with another bevy of tracks for 2022, Seppa is continuously preparing visceral servings of low end grooves for discerning consumers of brackish bass music. With several upcoming appearances loaded in the chamber, the forthcoming release of the Elision EP is poised to take priority on the stage. In anticipation of the full EP's touchdown, The Rust is honored to host the premiere of "Warn".

Departing from the slowed, brackish churn of half-time and neuro, "Warn" cranks up the rhythm to a breakbeat modality, introducing the Seppa brand of Newtonian sound design to tech-heavy shuffles and pulsing downbeats. It's got the feel and the roar of his traditional catalog, suffusing glitches, turnarounds, and weighty chugs in a speaker-shredding package, all juxtaposed against the magnetic backdrop of kinetic phrasing and staccato drum lines. With the rest of Elision right around the corner, "Warn" should be more than enough to satiate even the hungriest sound heads and groove junkies in the meantime.

Cracks In The Surface is the product of a globetrotter. Straddling the lines between cult techno, krautrock and synth-punk, it expands the confines of contemporary club, electronic, and experimental musics in the process. Luebs strikes a variety of tones, from resounding and bright to somber and resolute. Inspired by the experience of losing connections with friends and loved ones, Cracks contains as many steps as missteps. Hard-hitting, insistent rhythms fracture and refracture, establishing new funks and unconventional shuffles, while bursts of analog noise bring a level of severity to the polish.

Moscoman arrived at the ESP Institute last year with a fistful of killer tracks and an imitable recipe for hummous, since then we’ve seen his debut with the dancefloor bomb 'Akachi' and a collaborative follow-up release with long-time cohorts Red Axes. We’re now excited to enter a new chapter with Moscoman’s debut full-length album 'A Shot In The Light'. This creative outpouring spans years of musical trials and tribulations, finally coming full circle to tell the story of an artist leaving his home in Tel Aviv to pursue his passions in the electronic mecca of Berlin and beyond. Moscoman’s unique approach evolves and devolves over the course of eight songs, enduring highs and lows yet never resting for too long in one place—thus illustrating his personal metamorphosis as well as his acute skill of giving many voices to one wild imagination. 'Mexican Cola Bottle Baby' is our lead single—an optimistic dancefloor-filler that rides a disco rhythm, full of odd-ball percussion, over a swollen house bassline as we’re lead through clusters of synthesized mating calls via infectious melodic whistling. If there is a tune that sums up our idea of Summer—bright as a cloudless day yet thick as a tropical heat, and is as wacky as we are here, then this is it.
