I came out of the early 80's punk/hardcore weirdo music scene, Patti Smith,MC5,Stooges,Velvets. Then Black Flag,Sonic Youth,Halo of Flies,Scratch Acid ect came along. 60's/77 garage punk 7'' collecting.I picked up a guitar because of the Cynics.Then went pre Beatles got into Howlin' Wolf,Funk,Soul,Rockabilly,Jazz to Free Jazz,Sun Ra, Coltrane-OM,Albert Ayler, Harry Partch came along and the Residents made sense. Pedals and synths were more fun than garage bands. Now I am just mashing it up.Garage-Psych-Ambient-Noize-improvisational Freak Outs. Modular Synths-Drone-Noize Boxes.Guitars and way to many pedals-Mutron,4MS,Seppuku,SmallSound/BigSound,Whetstone,EHX,Sirkut Electronics,Synthesizers.com,Arp Axxe ect. I play modular synth in The Shirley Rolls(bubblegum Stooges freak outs) and then solo as Astronovazz. Ustad E.
