Spotted by hardcore legends Marc Acardipane and Manu Le Malin, Cuften is one of the best guardians of the rave identity of these last years in France. Since 2017, he has been shaping an uncommon sound identity between electro, IDM, techno and rave that stands out with a 100% analog sound, anchored in the future, inspired by its precursors like DMX Krew, I-F or Legowelt.
After a remarkable debut on Tripalium or Minimum Syndicat, Cuften was opened the doors of the acclaimed label Planet Phuture - the first artist other than his creator to sign on the label - by the legend Marc Acardipane, on which he signed two EPs with artworks created by Number3, creator of the Aphex Twin logo. In only a few years, Cuften performed at such prestigious stages such as Transmusicales, Le Printemps de Bourges, Astropolis or Concrete / Dehors Brut, has been acclaimed by big medias like Tsugi or Radio Nova and is playlisted by Helena Hauff.

Nowadays, Cuften makes his arrival on Astropolis Records with "Animal Suicide", a 5-track EP on vinyl including a remix by Dutch pioneer Legowelt . Digital version includes a bonus remix by French producer Cate Hortl (best known to be half of Oktober Lieber).

"Heart Particles" calls out with a sharp contrast, with its soft voice and melody, as if the shuffle mode had landed us on an ambient record. The tempo increases progressively with an acid line and a slow and powerful rhythms, between the psychedelia of The Orb and Warp’s reveries of the 90's.

After unveiling a first collaboration between Manu Le Malin & Kmyle with 'Little Big Man,' Astropolis Records continues to blend artists with a new, dance-driven alchemy: Astropolis resident Swooh teams up with French renowned producer Mézigue to take us on a trippy journey between Paris and Venice.
Accustomed to fusing styles, breaking down barriers, and playing with samples, Swooh & Mézigue combine their influences on 'Broken Roll To Venice’, sitting at the crossroads of ghetto tech, hip hop, breakbeat, and house. With catchy vocals, an acid bassline, pounding drum machines and bass, this banger energizes us for the approaching winter, highlighting the signature elements of both artists.
Mézigue, a key figure of D.KO Records, has become an essential part of the French electronic scene with his uninhibited approach to music, blending house, funk, and French touch 2.0 – as unpredictable as it is captivating. This is evident in his recent third album 'Qui existe.'
Swooh is one of the most exciting French electronic revelations of recent years, actively contributing to the revival of the electronic scene with avant-garde productions on RAW and supported by artists such as VTSS, Ellen Allien, DJ Stingray or Slam.
Gathered for the first time, Swooh & Mézigue present a missile primed to heat up the dancefloor. Stay tuned in the coming months, as Astropolis Records will be back with more surprises to celebrate the label anniversary.

The eponym 'Into the woods' is a ravey colored techno track in the authentic main style from the artist: moment of unifying gathering the crowd. 'Light Sentence' and 'Tension' are pure actual techno weapons, raw and rough, deep and dancefloor in the same time. And finally we are lucky to receive the Masters SLAM, founders of Soma records, for a fantastic and massive techno remix. Efficient, this weapon should destroy most of the dancefloors, enjoy!

MAXIME DANGLES is turning "Misericordia" in a muscular but melodic late night techno assault with dark vocals and his typical synths and chords, while the LUNATIC ASYLUM rework will catch you up in the dark room of dance, with delicious breaks and metallic spirals melodies added to this rave anthem. Flipside, MAXIME DANGLES is turning "Misericordia" in a musculTHE HACKER rebuilds "Blacksmith" in his vintage and industrial spirit between electro, acid and techno, while TORGULL's version steps up the darkness with a techno hardcore rework, raw, heavily haunted by vocals, textured and sensory.

With support from France's favourite Laurent Garnier, Manu le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, Fréquence(s) unveils his skillfull, mature universe.

12 tracks compose the album. The opening 'Space Bubbles' carries a cinematic, ethereal touch designed for dancefloor, from dusk till dawn. 'Mouvement circulaire' sets out a slow hypnotic rythm, leading to "Narcotica" and its warm melodies. 'MG's Groove', produced with master Laurent Garnier uncovers Madben's house moves, percussive beats and distorted synths. 'Reminiscence' and 'Stripes' wink at Madben's earlier melodic techno inprints, while 'Don't Lose the Beat' uses old school vocal as the LP's boiling point. Modern techno vision is underlined with tracks such as 'Tom & Tom' and 'The Struggle', both waving between UK inspirations, aerial sounds and Ben's original signature. Featuring with Manu le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, ‘Grief, Dance to Death' stands out from the rest, swaying betwixt French vocals and rave spirit, whereas the album’s last piece, ‘Lunar Park’, ends the journey with a gripping ethereal melody.
