We can't get over how much we enjoyed Deluka's set in our favorite living room. 
Focused on pulsating beats and hypnotic patterns, he kept the dance floor going from the first track till the very last.

They said it couldn't be done. A single USB couldn’t handle so much sauce. So many styles couldn't be mixed without losing the crowd. It might have worked in the 90s, but times have changed. They said a lot of things… But on the 14th of July, at the Ritual Gatherings festival in Bulgaria, the naysayers were proven wrong. 

Many there that day said it was the moment they first gained pelvis awareness. At least 17 people were reported to have called their mothers immediately after the final track. An overlooked Bulgarian techno legend who hasn't spoken at a party since 2005 set his Rakia on the bar, nodded approvingly, and uttered a single word… “добре”

A lone cassette tape made it out of Bourgas that night - surreptitiously recorded by an unknown local. We're thankful that this moment in dance music history was captured, for it is a testament to the power of good music, the indefatigable human spirit, and the long-standing love between Afriqua and the Bulgarian people.

At long last, as we settle into the rhythm of winter, it is time for us to launch our very own podcast series. And this first entry really is a special one, setting the standard for what we endeavour to be an intimate and carefully curated sequence of episodes, compiled in its first twelve iterations by the label's friends and family.

Cauê delivers a beautifully woven mix, featuring a fine selection of music, including many tracks not only from PRTLL001 but also from the forthcoming PRTLL002 that is due in the Spring. Making music and playing together since 2015, each one has found their own aesthetic over the years. When they play together they find a common point that results in a unique journey which combines minimalism and dissonance allied with a constant groove. This 4-hour recording of their set at the RSOberlin in May 2023 represents their joint vision of what they can bring to a dance floor.

French DJ Cancel23's musical journey began in the late 90s, spinning vinyl in Lille, Paris, and Belgium.
After a break to focus on family, he returned to Lille's nightlife in 2022, exploring genres from Disco to Techno under his Astropony alias. In late 2023, he unveiled Cancel23, a darker alter ego dedicated solely to Techno.
Cancel23 emerged as the raw, hypnotic persona of Astropony, captivating audiences with industrial-infused beats and ominous melodies, exploring underground Techno music.
