White Light is the first official album release by electronic music project Astropulse. Composer/producer Orin Jaworski has been creative in electronic music since childhood, and has produced finished tracks for more than a decade. With a flair for structured melody and rhythm, Astropulse emits a unique style that crosses genre boundaries. From dance and trance to chillout electronica, White Light flows with colorful music to engage the mind and uplift the spirit.

Inspired by the Sakura physical modeling synthesizer, this relaxing music celebrates the cycle of life and death.  For my wife, who captured this photo from an aging cherry blossom tree.

Bright watery synth melodies glimmer in contrast to bass-heavy dance music with dark waves to pull you under.

Undertow

"Playing with fire."  Burnt cinder, spark of smolder: a theme from the ashes kindled back to life.  This is a song of edges, volatility, resonance, destruction.  Downtempo psybient, deep melodic IDM.

Ember

For what fades away, what can never be caught, never held.  Moments of joy and beauty passing by: the fleeting sound of laughter, words and the sense of meaning; a breath, a touch, a vision traced in memory.  All this light, for you.

Complex synth work forms a beginning, warm entrances and cold departures, alternating energy and rest, ending with return to simplicity.

Fire Engine Duet

Behold: all things are become new.

Butterflies are symbols of rebirth. Nova means new. The lyrics here are simple yet significant to me: "Next" ... one word repeated in various forms to symbolize the many possibilities ahead. The verse is from 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV = "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." This verse is particularly meaningful to me now, and it comes with perfect timing on this first day of a new decade. :)
