Laulu on alkujaan The Sheik of Araby vuodelta 1921, sanat Harry B. Smith ja Francis Wheeler sekä sävel Ted Snyder. Laulu kumpuaa samannimisen elokuvan suosiosta. Sheikkiä esitti Rudolph Valentino (kuvassa). Suomensin laulun vapaasti.
Versiossani laulan ja soitan tenoribanjoa sekä kitaraa. Mika Heikkinen vierailee saksofonistina. Tuotin tämän kotonani Band in a Boxilla ja Reaperilla.

This song that was written in 1921 by Harry B. Smith and Francis Wheeler, with music by Ted Snyder. It was composed in response to the popularity of the Rudolph Valentino feature film The Sheik (in pic). I translated it freely into Finnish.
In my version I sing and play tenor banjo and guitar. Mika Heikkinen features on sax.
I produced this at my home with Band in a Box and Reaper.
